How do I make it so that when I start EVE that the annoing splash pic wont load up?
Sometimes it just shows black screen and wont be on top of other things like browsers, irc, explorer and other eve accounts but in some cases the picture loads up and the picure is just sitting there doing nothing for some time preventing me from doing other things.
It has no pattern and acts at its own will it seems.
Are there any files i can delete to make sure the pic does not load up ?

I agree completely. I HATE IT. CCP, please give us the option to turn the fekking thing off!!

I'd at least like for it not to take screen dominance. It's often very slow, as much as 2 minutes from the time I double click the icon to when it reaches the EULA, throughout which time I can't do much else.

Delete the following file: x:\...\EVE Online\res\Splash2.jpg
Take a backupif you like

But as it happens for me the splash pic only comes every now and again, wich is a bit strange.
And an option to have it never appear would be awsome IMHO.

Ive never had any problems with the splash screen...

odd, it's consistently slow, but it's consistent. By "not appearing" do you mean it sometimes goes direct to the EULA?
I seem to remember a patchnote saying "splashscreen is back," which i noted 'cause mine never left. I'd poke around that res/ dir and see if anything Strange is going on.
...If i successfully infiltrate a program onto your machine that changes your Splash2.jpg into Joshua Calvert's mug does that count as EW or a war crime

I agree, the splash should NOT be a system modal screen, it is ok if it is on top of other windows of that same application, but an application shouldn't put things on top the everything else for more than a few seconds without giving the user the option to move it.
I defenetly would prefer if the splash screen would NOT stay on top of everything.
Your 280mm 'Scout' Artillery I perfectly strikes Sansha's Scavenger, wrecking for 264.3 damage.
