Ok this is just a bad luck story but i had bought a new destroyer to try out. i got in to some 0.4 space and scanned i saw a caldari frigate and warped to his location. we go at it and i kill him i make sure he cant warp out then a Battleship shows up. i freak out and try to warp out but its too late hes got me. and he proceedes to destroy my destroyer. but luckly i was able to escape with my pod. but that has got to be the worst luck ever. lol so close to my first ransom

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 21/03/2008 23:52:02 So you were ransoming his pod? You stated that you killed him and then made "sure he can't warp out", suggesting it was the pod that was scrambled. Probably not worth it on a young character, if I understood the story right.
How'd you get locked by a battleship before you could warp out? That part was definitely bad luck. Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. |

You need less numbers in your name.
Also grammar.
Also don't fly destroyers.

Why not, not only are they cheaper than cruisers but they can be effective and are fun to fly as well.

It's not that bad.
Saw a vid from a thorax pilot, who saw a ransom going on in local, and warped to a belt to find out what was up.
Some pilot in a Falcon was ransoming a 5 day old pod. Yep -- a Falcon. Which was promptly melted by the rax.
Lesson learned: Falcon is not a solo ship, and local really isn't the safest place to announce where you're currently sitting -- at 0 velocity -- within 1km of the warpin point.

If this is the worst luck you've had in eve so far then wow
I remember when I got my first rook (back when they were insanely expensive. I failed to jame a raven three cycles in a row and lsot it in my first fight. Worked out the odds for it later and it was something like a 1/1700 chance with the jammers I had fitted.
Violence isn't the answer, it is the question. The answer is yes. |
