Oh, and there is no crafting in EVE, we manufacture our goods in this universe...

Unfortunately most traders aren't willing to share their secrets because doing so would make you competition to them. However I've heard that you can make a lot of money by buying and selling items (i.e. finding good deals) in major market hubs.
Also, in EVE it's producing, not crafting. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.2 |

Well, I'm not rich, but I pay the rent fine. My advice is to read the Market board till your eyes bleed. Also do a little social networking with the people who post there. Who you know, is who you do business with in Eve. It also is what gives you credibility as a trader. That and do the 'trench' work of trading. (I.E., The unrealistic trade goods market running.) Think of it like a tackling dummy before you go on to the real player versus player trading. Hope that helps. / "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do." - Confucius, Chinese philosopher & reformer (551 BC - 479 BC.) |

Trial and error usually, look at where things aren't sold and try to sell something there, if it moves reasonably fast or to a satisfactory mark-up you're in business.

If you can somehow make it into Delve alive with some BPOs, set up mineral buy orders and on top of that get them filled out to somehow supply all the waring factions down there you'll be living it up as a trader but that's many variables having to come into play for you to be attempting right off the bat but do keep the dream alive and stay the frak out of Jita!

Is not Jita the place to be for trading, Danton?

If you want to spend your entire day adjusting your buy/sell orders by 0.01 ISK every 5 minutes, it certainly is. Oh, and you must also be extremely resistant to lag.

As far as I see it, you can sell your stuff fast in Jita but you'll have a lower profit margin then when you sell somewhere else.
Plus, it LAGGGSSS there quite a bit....

Find an item that is :
1) not dropped in loot(as people will always sell "free" stuff cheaper than it's worth, thus screwing up your trade) 2) fairly cheap (to start with, until you have capital behind you 3) has a sensible markup (think ~10%)
4a) Buy the BPO and research it 4b) buy some bpc for the item from a contract
5) set up buy orders to buy the components cheaply, search round for a good region. Small thinks like zydrine you're best off at a hub, large things like trit are better close to where you intent to manufacture
6) build items and take to your local trade hub and sell. RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!
