Why would anyone want to fly one over the Myrmidon assuming both gunnery and drone skills were on par with eachother, or if you don't count skills. When would the Brutix be a better choice of ship over the Myrmidon in PvP/PvE?

Playing minmatar is "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi".

The rail 3xMFS brutix simply outperformed myrm at ganking the crap out of l3's As was mentioned above, the 3xMFS neutron gank-fit is awesome as small-gang damage dealer. Rail-fit brutix performs better in mid-large gangs than myrm aswell, due to its insta-damage mostly. For soloing, there's no reason to fly brutix over myrm, really. Worth mentioning, that a lot of people perceive brutix as much easier prey than myrm, that might get you into more fights itself

Brutix exceeds myrm in mid/semi-long range with rail setup to instantly hit target, vs drone travel time. I lost a dualrep and rigged brutix yesterday and I feel like I want to go all-out damage, as solo I'd rather fly a cheap thorax from now on... can you guys post some of these "inyourface-dps-fleetbrutix-setups"? Brutix is a nasty damagedealer considering it's cheapness. Myrmidon on the other hand is more a tanky ship. ...

I think you need to learn a bit more about different gallente ships before you try and PvP in them.. if you want to tank, go a myrm. You sit there and shoot blasters with a dual rep running while your drones eat them. Brutix you need an ion gank setup with resist + damage mods in the lows. Jarvin Kell Kingdom of Kador Kingdom of Redemption	Posted - 2008.03.23 12:57:00 - [24] Brutix can operate under gate guns a little more easily as damage is shifted from drones to guns when compared to the myrmidon...Both ships put out comparable DPS when fully gank fitted with the Brutix having a slight edge. Myrmidon can hold extra drone types/flights so can be much more versatile. Myrmidon has an extra mid and low. Myrmidon's drones can be destroyed but not tracking disrupted, jammed, etc. Myrm is better for all aspects of PvE. Overall I'd only pick the Brutix if your gunnery skills far outweigh your drone skills, or if you're trying to operate under gate guns.
