Anyone who smacks MC has basically lost the plot. Not only are they one of the most fun set of people to fight against due to the fact, as koronos said, they bring it no matter what numbers and whatever the opposition brings, but they do it in a respectful, smack free and basically classy way.
A lot of alliances could not only learn how to PvP from these guys but also how to conduct yourself in the game.

Ironically it was the opps where we (GBC) used to switch the cyno-jammers off to try and get a fight that made me post.

All it tells me is that it legitimatley bothers them that we are better than they are. All your whines and tears do is to feed my soul. Thank you for my laugh at your expense.
I bet you didnt realize how much you were going to fail when you made that post...
As for MC crying about being outnumbered, so what, That is the way the game is, And if you dont have what it takes to win, then you lose, simple.
MC = Fail alliance struggling to hold on to their reputation of being strong as it fades away quickly.
As for your client (which Im sure is a fake contract) He must be really thrilled that your raising the morale of the target... If your client does exist, you should give him the money back plus pay him interest for wasting his time when he could of gone an paid some crappy empire war alliance like privateers that would probably do more damage to smash/kill then MC can.

MC got it coming.
The emerge from under BOBs skirts to stab them in the back.
See its a big bad world out there and run for cover under Goonies skirts.
In the meanwhile talking about keeping space and doing contracts. Well clearly they need more than MC so Tortuga is setup, which presumably was an effort to have an online maid who would stay at home and keep their space clean while the tough guys go out and do the contracts.
Tortuga has turned out to be more tortilla.
Now we are watching an MC contract unfold in a manner MC had rather hoped it would not and we get another reset.
Sure you can expect mercs to switch allegiances but a group that stabs long term neighbours in the back and fail as a merc group is not looking at a bright future. -

The real sign that MC is on the decline is that they didn't bring a cap fleet to Smash/RK/etc...
This shows a lack of will, resources, and committment from the get-go.
Any serious battle, even with the current game mechanics, would involve a set piece battle starting with the low sec pos chains from the airaken pipe down to paala and otosela...
From there MC could use war declares to blockade the pipe from the empire side, then cap fleets starting with small pos towers mining moon stuff (with no guns) and then proceed to the large reacting towers (also with no guns)...
This would create the "hammer and anvil" effect of drawing smash and roadkill out of geminate and vale to low sec where MC could pound them. The income loss alone would have been 10 times the paltry amount on the killboards as smash would have to refit ratters from pvp and then use them in low sec... Also every small pos tower popped would interrupt larger chains of moon reactions deep into 0.0...
Anyway, like I said above, a move by MC of a few hundred nano pilots to parade around geminate was just lame...
Compared to last year where they used a cap fleet to stomp across the north, I am totally unimpressed... |

Lol, they weren't payed to bring the caps. If they brought caps and shot at some cyno jammers, Smash would be short a few systems

So is this contract over? What was the end result? Did MC give the money back and apologize or was the client satisfied with the work?

Leave MC alone already, we fought in the past, we are fighting them now...and will fight eachother in the future.
Its all in the name of fun. But I doubt MC will roll over and die, they just want good old fashion fun (!pos and ****) vs smashkill.

That hasn't changed. We have been outnumbered in most of our campaigns, and I imagine it will be the same in most of the future campaigns.
As for the SmashKill contract, we knew the risks of our tactic. We decided to go ahead with it anyway. It didn't quite work out. Sadly there wasn't enough time to try some different approaches. The contract ended on Thursday evening. Props to SmashKill for the fights, and hopefully we can repeat this at some point in the future (with a different outcome).

Based on what, the epic success of their non-capital fleets?
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for MC, but a failure is a failure pure and simple. Maybe next time they'll be on better form, but if they'd brought the caps out this time theres no reason to assume that they wouldn't have failed just as hard. ------

You all seem to forget that no one is invicible in this game. If eve-history proved one thing, it's that exact point,
BoB looked invicible for a while too. They got beaten.
NO alliance is unbeatable, what makes an alliance great is not to fade away after a defeat. ANd remember that a bloody nose can sometimes encourage more then an easy victory.
Great respect for all MC have accomplished in the past. It makes no sense to pound on them for not being able to complete EVERY contract with 100% success. ______________________________________ "There are NO bugs in EVE, just oversights" ----- Oveur and TomB, EvE fanfest 2006 |

Well, you may have not lost the war, but you have certainly lost battles & failed at achieving some of your stated objectives. You have lost a ton of space in the last few months and while the war isn't over, you have been 'beaten' at least in some regards. Whether this is temporary or permanent, remains to be seen. Still laughing Tyrrax? You manipulative thieving s.o.b. IAC was a good alliance, but you're a leach and a snake and drained and poisoned them from the inside. MC made some tough political in game choices, which may or may not hurt them -- but the difference is they did it to themselves. You however suck the life out of your alliance and cause grief to innocent and giving players to satisfy some attention disorder you seem to have.
In short, quit trolling and stfu.

Yeah name one alliance that has not lost a shuttle, this proves nobody is invincible. -
