And yes...I think Titan won't be so easier to get...I already imagine the Tech II (or up) components needed to built it...Plus the endless minerals list, the hard time to get a BP (original or limited)... I think ME and PE will be very usefull on these ones
PS : I feel generous today...So it's 1000 isk per peep :) Wish me good luck...I got a "perpetual" blockade to bypass this evening ^^ These are maybe the last isk I could afford to offer (\_/) (O.o) (> <)=Oveur (proof) "Jumping 50 systems I can like, have sex 150 times during that period" |

Take a look as some of the stuff in development on the other pages that have been there since last september. How much of it is out? Not a lot. Still, at least this answeres the question "are they ever coming out?" The answer is yes. ------

if you don't wake up, i'll have to stop kissing you. all that flailing has made you sleepy. you rest while i untie you. stay here until they find you. My hand made mannequin. i won't let them get you. they'll know you're mine by the fingerprints on your throat. isn't she lovely? isn't she wonderful? like the *****s that we are, swatting flies from the wounds we design. |

oh! I see they are going to be proper mobile stations again, or at least supercarriers... there were rumours and whisperings that the "docking smaller ships inside" was a no-go and they were going to end up being Large Battleships. nice to see them moving back more towards original concept, good show!

Anchored Cargo Container Anchored Cargo Containers are much more secure and duarable compared to their mobile counterparts. They are usually the focus of attacks on outposts, commonly containing ore, refined minerals or valuable items waiting to be transported to empire space.
They are however quite durable so don't expect to run away with one easily. Well at least not in anything less than a Titan.

Edited by: Vlad Damian on 13/04/2004 23:36:08 I've been dreaming of Titans ever since beta 4 and this afternoon I came to a very sad realization. Only a few people out of the thousands that play eve will have the honor of flying a Titan.

Titans will need ludicrous amounts of minerals to produce (somewhere in the billions of isk) and will require lvl 5 of high rank skills along with other sub skills...
The skill requirements wont be that bad I guess. What's going to prevent joe shmoe eve player from getting a Titan is the price tag. I don't remeber where I read this, but a dev commented that Titans weren't in game yet mainly because there weren't any single entitys (corp or player) that had the resources to construct one and so there was no need for the devs to give Titans any attention. In other words, when Titans do arrive, only megacorps will be able to get them.
Bleh, oh well, I guess this is how it should be. I mean... would you really want to live in a galaxy with 9000 other players jumping around in Titans? But still... sniff~ it sure would be fun to fly one.
/me day dreams of flying a titan

My bet is on the CEO, cause it'll take corp management 5 (amongst other things) to fly it.
Edit: Ah, thats just for the construction skill... but I still bet on the CEO =======Abaddon=======

Fact is, even if they aren't ridiculously hard to acquire (which im sure they will be), they are going to be massive targets, and will clearly need a strong force defending them at all times. Not something the average player or even average corp will be able to keep up.

titans should prolly not cost "that" much, lets say 1 and a half bil is plenty, you see, there is a few sizes of corperations.... the few very rich corperations are in 0.0 space, while by far the most are in empire, the 0.0 corperations got a few billions, while the emprire ones got maybe 100 to 500 mil... the 0.0 ones are mroe prone to losing titans, the empire ones arnt, but the empire ones need to mine longer... this in my oppinion balances out, therefore should be "only" 1 to 1.5 bil a piece --- "this song reminds me of the girl i met on a schooltrip, she was really nice, and she really liked me. I forgot to ask her her phone number" - Nelix trist OMG im a pretzel!!! |

What I wanna know is can you dock your ship in a titan and enjoy a free ride or does it only carry ships with no pilots in them like an indy carries a repackaged shuttle?

the corp that gets a titan will have to hire half the eve universe to guard it coz the other half will be out to destroy it
