Simple, because it doesn't really fit in any of the other sections, and having never sold characters, was at a loss at how much the skills I have are worth.

Right, cause neither the Price Checks forum nor the Character Bazaar forum fit.
OTOH, F'nog, I figured the mods will eventually move it to the appropriate forum. Not my job.

Price Checks Want to know how much to ask for that Civilian Gatling Gun? Think you might be asking too little or too much for the Imperial Apocalypse in your hangar? Ships, modules, materials, etc., you want to know how much? Here's the place to go.
Sell Orders Have a hot item that you want to get rid of or auction off? Maybe looking for something in particular? Look no further than this forum.
Character and Timecode Bazaar Want a character that can yarr? Has your account run out of time? Pick up a GTC for a dime. Advertise your character and timecode sales here!

Start at about 200 mil per 1 mil sp. If your char is young and lacking in many areas, if it has been trained as an alt, if it has incomplete support skills, then it should be priced lower - 140-190 mil per 1 mil sp. If your char is really above average of what sells on the forums, if it has any expensive skills plugged in like capital ship skills, then can definitely get 200+ for it. Also people tend to pay more per 1 mil sp for low sp characters (2-7 mil sp). This is because their cost runs up to no more than 2 bil. A lot of players can make this money ingame or sell enough GTCs to afford characters like this so demand is greater and hence there are more buyers out there for these chars. Sometimes you may see a low sp character sell up to 300 mil per 1 mil sp.

Are things like agents standing counted into that price, because I've spent quite a bit of grinding up standings in order to use the best r&d agents, and as well, said character has about 11,000 worth of r&d points to use x4

That definately helps iprove the value of your character. Only problem I see with the charcater is that it lacks some valuable skills to support that R&D like: Advanced lab ops 4 or 5 Metallurgy 5 Production efficiency 5 Mass production 5 Advanced mass production 4 or 5
If this charcter would have those skills it would drastically increase the characters value.
I'm no pro when it comes to charcter estimates but I'd say this char might go for something like 750m-1b. Add the skills listed above and you'd probably push it to 1.8b-1.9b

There is no formula for character pricing. Sometimes by the sheer dump luck someone noob who just sold off a bunch of GTCs goes and grabs a highly overpriced character just because he likes it and he has seen it and is eager to buy. Standing, possessions, and R&D agents factor in favorably, of course. On the other hand lack of support skills or lack of focus in training, neg sec status would be some things that factor in negatively. Each buyer will want to see different skills trained. You goal is to train those skills that would appeal to majority of buyers, then you'll get more bids and more interest.
