Hello there, I would like some advice on the mentioned subject.
Are complexes above 3/10 solo-able and if so, can a broadsword do it alone? How about 0.0 sites? Suggested fittings welcome too. I suppose we have to go with a AC fit seeing it doesn't have good powergrid?

Broadsword should be able to tank a 5/10(or maybe more) with no issue at all, but the DPS is laughable. I'd also worry about the tackler frigs since it has no drone bay, might have to drop shield mod from meds for web.
Usual passive tank setup can make the broadsword almost a nighthawk, ~1k dps omnitank.

What ships should we be looking at then, for solo 0.0 exploration?

The highest I've done is a 6/10, and I could tank that in a Muninn if I was careful about keeping up transversal (it was a Sansha 6/10). A Broadsword should be fine for these, as far as tanking is concerned.
Killing the overseers will be a problem for a Broadsword though. I struggled with some of them in the Muninn. One of the overseers in the plex I was doing was bugged too. I had to call in for a gank fit Abaddon to kill him off. He seemed to have a recharge time on his shields of around 20 secs, and he was armour tanked.
From this experience, I assume 4/10 and 5/10 are soloable using the 'correct' HAC or better (as in the one with the right resists).
I'm trying to get a team together for the higher level complexes at the moment. We're thinking of using a passive tanked (with passive hardners) Broadsword for the tank, backed up with a Scimitar or two, then a couple of damage fit HAC/Command/BS type ships to kill everything.

Any ideas for a decent passive broadsword setup then?
Also, what HACs would one recommand for solo exploration?

My problem with single HAC exploration was that either my HAC was able to tank the plex or kill it - it could never do both concurrently. The boradsword just has a sick tank, no two ways about that - as has been said, you WILL run into a problem with tackler frigs if you can't pop them before they get into range.
I always found command ships to have that little added oompf when it comes to being able to tank while still having enough dps to bring down overseers.
Granted anything over 6/10 you're probably going to need a little help on. _______________ Pwett CEO, Founder, & Executor <Q> QUANT Hegemony
