Ok this is my first post here so I hope its a good one. Im here listening to Brad Pas;ey Letter to me and as im listening to it it got me thinking... If I could write a letter to me at 17 from this point in time wht advice would I give myself? And what advice would others give them sleves if they could do the same.
Suppose id advise myself about my first girl i really fell in love with and what would happen to end that relationship and how it ended and how to prevent it.
What about the rest of you lot out there what would you say to your past selves in a letter if you could send one to when u were 17?

Mine would probably be along the lines of "Do it, whatever you're planning don't talk yourself out of it, JUST DO IT"
And then some sort of space/time rip would occur because my subsequent "Doing" of the things would cause me to not write the letter which would mean I'd not do the things which I had just done!
Don't post letters back in time.

Dear Sean,
I'm not going to tell you anything about what relationships you'll be in because right now I'm very happy, and if I tell you who I'm with and how we got together you'll most likely find some way to **** it up (no offense, but I know us). Love is everything you thought it would be, and plenty of things you won't expect. Don't bother trying to predict it, because you'll never figure it out. It's best not to worry about it. And no, I'm not going to tell you when you'll lose your virginity, stop asking.
Quit playing Shattered Galaxy, it's crap. There's a game coming out soon called EVE Online, and it'll rock. Start a character as soon as you can, maybe even get into the beta if you have time. Study extra hard for Calculus senior year or else you're going to regret it. Cherish the time you have with your friends in high school, everything changes eventually. And I'm sorry to say but Zombies have been neglected in the past dozen Magic: The Gathering expansions, don't hold out too much hope for your Zombie Deck.
At some point you will be tempted to get a Credit Card. DON'T. Seriously. Invest in Google stock as soon as possible, you won't be disappointed.
Things will change a lot for you in the next couple of years. Just roll with it and you'll make it out alright. Drinking isn't as bad as you think, just be careful and stay in control of yourself, and don't overdo it. Best of luck

Study. Even if you don't walk into a job after University, you'll have spent three or four years living the good (student) life rather than just six months at a College.

I know your worried about not being able to afford to stay in college, but the A levels dont mean anything later, you're doing better than the people who did finish them. Play more games, life still isnt worth taking seriously :)

It'll all be worth it in the end. Just what "it" will be is something I don't want to say because knowing me you'll change stuff and really...you don't want to change anything because in one way or another it leads to something really cool. You'll fall into and out of love and it'll hurt but at the same time you will take some great memories with you. There'll be some interesting people you will meet, and a lot more boring people. Take them all as they come and learn what you can. All those places you want to go to and see? Go see them. And when the cool thing comes along don't hesitate. Emulate that scene from 51st State (you'll know which one once you see the film), leave your old life behind and grab the chance with both hands. It is going to work out because by that point you will know just what to do. It is going to be frustrating, exciting, painful, wonderful and you're not only going to acquire a laugh that shakes buildings, but also the knowledge that you should use it often. Enjoy the ride.

Study you will need it in the future, you know that bully. The one and his croonies, well kick his ass and he'll get the message. Yes it will land you in trouble for abit, but they will leave you alone.
When you get that nice VW Golf, and you find yourself on that ice road. Slow down to a crawl, it will save you alot of money.
