Actually, to save client resources and avoid client bloat, they should use the assets of the captain's quarters to generate the hangar view. So you don't even leave the scene when switching to your CQ, you just zoom into another perspective.

They should NOT use the assets of the captians quarters to load the hanger view.
I run multiple accounts and loading the CQ is the WORST part of the game.
I have less lag in combat then when I'm docked if have CQ enabled.
The focus here should be making docking for short periods as FAST as possible.
There is enough time consumed traveling around to do normal functions in eve.
There plenty of times when loading the CQs EXTRA programming to do what I need to do to play "Internet spaceships" is just NOT a good idea ...
1) docking to get ammo/drones
2) getting or turning in missions
3) delivering a courier mission
4) repairs
5) changing hardeners
6) dumping ore with my orca (this takes long enough as is)
7) changing ships
8) any time I'm not specifically docking to get out and go walk around . . . .
On top of this what would be the purpose of loading CQ on ALL clients when I dock ??? Am I going to be walking around the station with ALL of my accounts at once ??? Would anyone EVER want to do this other than for the Lulz ?
Given these facts the loading of any part of CQ is extremely unwarranted, unless you specifically want to get out of your ship.
Give us the hanger view back and set is so we can go to CQ when we choose, with the toon we choose and ONLY when we choose. |

I've lost track how many people have said the very same thing.
Would be so simple and it would please everyone. I can't see any reason for any player to oppose this idea!
