Towards the end of last year I did a few missions to get my standings back up with Gallente agents and managed to work up to level 3's and I used the Beefstew agent (my nickname for the Fed Navy one whose real name I can never remember but it sounds a bit like beefstew, Bifstay maybe?) for a while, gaining both corp, agent and faction standings.
Now I've drifted back to Caldari space and carried on doing Caldari missions and I've done EA a couple of times for the tags (I used to decline it).
I went back to go talk to Beefstew today and discovered that the agent won't give me any missions. In fact, no Gallente agents will talk to me.
My standing to Gallente Federation is -2.44 derived from an effective standing of -4.81 so obviously those EA missions really killed it.

I don't want the Gallente Federation to hate me any more, my main is Gallente and I'm quite fond of that race so I want to get back into their good books and if possible get that standing to positive without losing too much of my Caldari standings.
What's the best way to do this?

I should add that I'm training Diplomacy 5 at the moment.

Run missions for the sisters of eve, their storyline missions improve your gallente fed standings.

Yes, you'll be able to run them with Diplo 5, also, how's your Minmatar?
Basically, just don't run any anti-navy missions, and shift empires every couple storylines. It will take a while, but you CAN get them all positive with some work.

I thought Minmatar was the way to go so I've jumped over there and am running some level 2s to get a couple of storylines there. I'll do those and then look at SoE, thanks.

In the future, NEVER EVER run a mission against a major non-pirate faction. This is worse than a zero sum game. You lose standing with one faction but don't gain any with anyone else! YUCK! Leave these missions to the mission farmers. You can buy the tags from them.
