I read through the entire dev chat tonight and at the very end LeKjart gave out a link of an actual screen shot of deployable structures to be introduced with Shiva.
Anyways I decided to put the link here so everyone could see it. I think its exciting and very promising to see a peek of things to come.
A Glimpse of Shiva
By the way, those are Gallentean deployable structures as far as I can tell. Good choice for the screen shot. Very pleasing to the eye.

ALL that time with the setup up... the basic rendering of the station... and the planet (which is good on the servers) looks like a ball of crumpled newspapers... lol... one half dozen of another i guess.. :-) Nice pic of the stuctures though!

I can crank up my 9700 pro to max quality and still never get images that nice. Can someone tell me how to get images that nice out of eve? I have advanced_device=1 already... how do they do that!

Been there, done that, have the soundtrack. Ask CoRM about offline system-wiping in Mankind... using 500 fighters to destroy 1000s of enemy units and structures in a solar system. Oh t3h lag...

Try going into advanced display settings and enforcing everything (Anti-Aliasing, Antisotropic lighting etc). I have a 9700 Pro, and it easily looks that good :D
