Does anyone use Zealots to run missions? I was looking for a ship to grind level 3's and probably some selected easy lvl 4's. I know, it will be kinda slow, but still I wanna try it. What would you guys recommend as the best mission running setup? I am thinking about doing those missions in 0.0 with no alliance affiliation, so yes, I'm expecting to die from time to time :)
Thanks in advance,
ES

Edited by: Tiberius Wolff on 26/03/2008 16:15:35 My Level 3 mission zealot:
5x HPII w/Multi 1x Salvager
1x 10MN ABII 2x Cap Recharger II
2x MARII 1x Thermic Membrane II 1x EANM II 1x CPR II 2x HSII
does level 3 missions with no problems. You could use rat specific hardeners but I dislike switching equipment between missions, and I've not needed the specific hardeners yet. Is cap stable with my skills.

Edited by: CmdoColin on 26/03/2008 16:44:40 Tiberius, interesting 6 slot set up with 5 slots...
High 5 heavy pluse Medium cap recharger - 2 varible Low Medium armour rep - 2 mission specific hardners heat sink or more gankage +3 varible
I can burn through level 4 Sansha and Bloods with ease. Takes me about 45 minutes for the long ones. I kinda orbit the battleships when killing them sometimes.
Mids I'll often chuck an 10mn ab in for speed (I get bored), sometimes a tracking/range mod or a web. Like the range thing.
Low's - CPR, EANM, tracking depends what I feel like. Do kinda like multiple Heat sinks.
With my skills with 1 cap recharger and 1 CPR, I can pretty much perma-run everything without any cap drain. Sometimes get nervous with everything running. No... I haven't eft'ed it.
Still playing with it tbh. Haven't found exactly what I love yet as a set up, but very much like the feel. Will definately follow this thread.
I use scorch and Amarr Navy for level 4's, gonna try conflag - but have been advised against it repeatedly... but never personally tried it. Otherwise in level 3's I'm using straight Multi and Radio.
EDIT: Tiberius - I'd also look into your huge gap in EM armour resistance. Thermal 35% then EM 50% is the Zealots armour holes - think that changed with Trintiy 1.1. Audita et altera pars |

Any more suggestions, or do I have a pretty good setup? Can't imagine my n00bish common sense would actually produce a good setup :) I am full-out Caldari specialist, and only looking into Zealots since they're just so shiny and require no ammo to speak of :)

I'd replace the laser damage rig with another CCC and the CPR in the lowslot with another heatsink.
Aside from that, it looks good. Range might be a problem, but eh, you're a zealot, scorch is pretty good. __________________________________

Yeah, with the EANM I get 60% EM resist now, but that hasn't affected my ability to run level 3's no problem. On Blockade I switch the eanm to a rat specific just for the extra protection... either way though, I rarely have to run the second MAR, though I like it in case things get hairy.
