As IDLE guns representative already said , IDLE guns and IDLE Miners are diferent corps (except in IDLEness in the name).

Meurtriez Vous, Thanks for the compliment. Concerning us losing the war.. not sure about that but time will tell;-) It has been fun but we would have prefered that Dockateers...ehr..sorry Racketeers would undock more and be able to fight outside the shadow of their stations homebase. So the one's that say that RAK can't PVP that's a lie...some RAK do and others are learning. And they do it very well near their station...I wonder that if outside it they also know how to do it... Again time will tell. Nevertheless we already had some fun moments.

@ooTunado: Thanks for the compliment and see you around...together or against it's always fun to fly with you :-)

To all the others: Don't worry Be IDLE :-)
 Cheers

Now now, let's keep this in perspective. Throughout both of these wars, IDLE has set up shop to camp in our home system. Because of this, roaming isn't necessary - you guys are on our front porch.

PS - We like Dennis just the way he is. You should have your corp spy relay how he sounds on vent, it's a trip. :)

The facts from the last war (declared by RAK).

 72 ships killed
 18 ships lost

 http://mykillboard.net/idle-miners/?a=cc_detail&ctr_id=4

In terms of isk, we lost by a battleship, and was only in the last hours of war that one of our corp members undocked at Soba alone and was "blobed" this -> http://www.eve-racketeers.info/Killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=7600 shows their own surprise.

All the major battles that happened ended either with RAK expensive ships docking (running) as it can be seen here -> http://mykillboard.net/idle-miners/?a=kill_related&kll_id=450 here -> http://mykillboard.net/idle-miners/?a=kill_related&kll_id=464 and here -> http://mykillboard.net/idle-miners/?a=kill_related&kll_id=518

They got a pretty good catch on one of our command ships.

From my personal point of view it was quite boring to be in soba trying to catch something. Hence the name Dockateers. I remember one episode that we had 5 pilots on station camping with almost 14 rak, one of ours fall asleep.

 That was the past war.

This war (that we declared) we had, until now, only one major fleet engagement that happened after 5 hours waiting and with most of our guys logging because of RL. Based on that specific, anyway very interesting fight, the Rak appear on the forum saying that we are loosing the war. It was in fact a great moral boost for their corp after being locked down monday.

I respect the RAK pilots, and understand their rule on compulsory smack, its their role in the game and they feel happy with it. One of their excuses for not undocking was the huge flood of young players. Since I'm also a new player I understand their problems and wish them the best luck in future fights.

 War stats until now:

 29 kills
 11 losses

I hope that we all continue to have fun, and see you all in space.

p.s. sorry for my english, its not my native language
p.s.2 We camp Soba because after almost 1 week of the 1st war none of the RAK appeared near our usual systems

Cael, while I can appreciate your attempt at rationalizing your corps loss in the first war, the fact remains that you guys *did* lose it. Both corps had players making really stupid blunders which padded killboard stats.

It just so happens that through luck or skill, RAK pulled a win out of it.

Currently, you guys are again losing this war. Whether or not it changes in the future, has no effect on stating that you're losing right now.

Calling us "Dockateers" really means nothing. I'm sorry we don't come out to play whenever you feel like we should.

Yeah, really close wars. First one, RAK-52% efficiency, this one we're currently ahead with a 54% efficiency. Ship numbers don't really matter, personally, I'd gladly trade 5 frigates/cruisers for a command ship. Anyway, great fun, hope for another fleet engagement soon.

Just a small correction: RAK had greater numbers and disposable ECM and neutrals repairing them. They never go out unless outnumber the opponent. Which is by to way, a perfectly fair and effective tactic.

I have to admit I didn't see any repping going on, but I did see about three RAK BB wrecks. I'm not flaming anyone here, just saying I was really surprised the IDLE/Templars fleet didn't have any ECM.
Anyway, it looked a great fight from 150km away. Just like the Chelsea Tottenham game the other day, great for the neutral.

We were originally going to make a mining corp for mining alts WAY back in 07. We were very close to wardeccing IDLE miners to steal their name. We eventually fell victim to our own lazy nature and made corps with different names instead.

And yes, having people think you suck IS a deffinite advantage.. amarr FTW.

 o/ Flaming,
there are 10 corps with IDLE in their names... The first (created in 2003) is IDLE Threats that seems desactivated. IDLE GUNS are about 3 months older than IDLE miners. But I think no relation was intended... at the time of corp cretion they were a bunch of idle carebears only that joined in for mining together... nowadays we diversified a bit

Yeah, RAK comprised a well structured fleet during that battle. My hat goes off to them.

Shame about the Guardian, though. Following the ill-conceived war dec against Templars, then the surprising retraction, I've yet to find out the reason behind the initial war deccing.
