I'm not talking about exclamation point characters such as yourself... I want a dude with eyes, clothes, hair, but minus the face.

Er, well, it's a bug you see. It's not supposed to happen, and you can't make it happen, it just may happen. It also only seems to appear on the forums, not ingame as well. At least not as far as I can tell.

If anyone found a way of making facless chars, I think they would be quite a bit richer.
Its a complete lottery as far as I know, usually peoples faces render fine on the first go, but then sometimes after a patch something goes wrong and they get their face removed.
Some guys even get just their torso removed instead, and so we have floatie heads

Nope. My friend has one on his alt character, but it only shows up on the tiny version of the icon and when he views it from his desktop computer while logged into his main. A very specific bug, it would seem.

it was a time-based bug. characters created during a certain time period after a release and before a patch will have that. if the faces get re-rendered the face will come back, what basically happens is it's rendering the wrong side of certain surfaces so you'd see the inside of the helmet and just floating eyeballs, and stuff like that
