I am fairly new to Eve and thus am still not fully knowledgeable about everything inside Eve. Just today someone mentioned that there are ships that don't actually fit inside a starbase. So I have two questions directed towards the community:
1)Which ships classes or classifications are they?
2) If you can't actually "store" them inside a starbase, how can you safely leave them into outer space?
Thank you for any information.

That would be Titains and mother ships, and you can store them at pos's or use an alt and log them offline in them so they dissapear.

First of, thanks for the info Re'taka, but what exactly are motherships? Are carriers considered motherships? Because someone told me capital ships apply to this. But that Carriers (which technically apply under the capital selection) could park inside a starbase.
So do Titans, dreadnoughts and carriers apply?

motherships are the carriers that are not on the market, such as the Wyrnyn (spelling?), Aeon, Hel, Nyx.
all titans cannot dock.
carriers and dreads can dock but they cannot use stargates, but by the same token neither can motherships and titans. -------------

Motherships and Titans stay in space even when the pilot logged. This is not the case with sub-supercapitals, like carriers, dreads, freighters etc.
The only way to store Titans and Moms respectively is in a capital ship maintenance array (iirc, I am not sure that's what it is called) and even that needs Sov 4 to be anchored or so.

Your saying when the titan pilot is logged off his ship is till there? erm no. And i believe you cant store titans/motherships in a capital array, thats where u fit them... i may be wrong though

All ships disappear, after a about a minute I think, once the pilot logs off. If they are aggressed, it takes 15 minutes. The same is true for Titans and Motherships.
That's how the first 2 Titans that died were killed. They, unknowingly, logged off with aggression and didn't disappear when they were supposed to.
