EVE is a sandbox, and the Goons are a herd of cats.
You may look upon the sand and dream of the things you can build. Cats see sand in a different light.
You may want to put a lid on the sandbox, to keep the cats out. A lid changes the fundamental nature of a sandbox. Instead of being a place to play and explore it becomes a sterile, lifeless desert. Every time you lift the lid all you will find is sand.
So when the cats come, deal with it. Either run away, grab a squirt bottle, or pick up a scoop to deal with the mess they leave behind.
Just don't expect them to stop being cats.

Or you use the sandbox to bury the cats?
If you bury them deep enough you won't even notice much of a difference.

What the op is saying is that the common players see eve as a wonderfly complex place to build up an empire and interact with everyone else using multiple game mechanics and ingenuity. He then goes on the say that the only thing the goons want to do is drop a huge steaming pile of **** on it all whilst they giggle thier arses off.

I have this wonderful sugestion about what we can all do easily (and frequently) to kill cats.
Kittens. You know. No, it doesn't involve ninjas. Although it might, sometimes. Nor pirates. But close.
P.S. In case this was not clear enough, I agree with the point the OP tries to make, just find his choice of metaphors a bit... bizzare.

Don't try putting a lid on the sandbox, just get one of your local hoody teenagers to stand next to the sandbox with some fireworks and a disposition towards animal cruelty.
Then, when the cats come calling to shat in your sandbox, said teenage thug can insert a firework into the cats rectum and light it. The resulting explosion and severe anal trauma should ensure the cat does not return.
Rinse and repeat until all the cats get the message that fecking with the sandbox gets your a$$ burned. Problem solved
(I do not in anyway condone real life animal cruelty)
