Hereby I would like to announce that Core Domination steps out of the New Fountain Alliance. The New Fountain Alliance is not a democracy like the old FA was. The NFA is a dictatorship mostly runned by Xanadu. The only way Xanadu was able get rid of some corps that they could not get out by using the democratic FA counsil was to seize controll and thus destroying the original FA we all loved. TCD decided not to quit their NFA membership immideately because we wanted to see how Xanadu would act, but as expected they are the ones controlling the NFA now and the other corps have very little to say about it. This was the final blow in our confidence about the NFA also having to shoot at former friends while being ordered by Xanadu to roll over and fetch for their personal agenda does not fit in the TCD planning. TCD does not feel any hathred against any other corp in the NFA other then Xanadu, Xanadu singlehanded destroyed the FA the other corps mostly did not have a chance. We will not attack any NFA ships except for Xanadu unless of course when we are being fired upon first. Hereby I would also speak out our support to all the corps who were thrown out of the NFA and of course to Revolution corp. ------------------------------ Audiofreaks ------------------------------ |

By the tearms of an alliance, declaring that you will fire on one means you will fire on all, and likewise will be returned. In that case, I am under the assumption that TCD is hearby a KOS to all current FA members.
Or am I missing something?

Has anyone actually looked at the numbers needed to remove the "anti-FA" segment using the old rules? you cant do it, getting a 2/3 majority vote when trying to remove 1/3 will always get blocked because the numbers DON'T EXIST. You can't change the rule because that needs a 2/3 majority too. You have to remove the element because they are supplying hostiles with ships and other funding as well as information. What would you do exactly?
Now, my favourite part compairing the old FA set up to the revised one.
The old FA rules had 3 chairmen which were elected from the council to represent FA in matters and were trusted to make decisions during the week on behalf of the council although lasting decisions would need to be ratified by the council. The new FA rules has 5 Hich Council (note this means that there is a drop in the power of any one HC person from 1/3 to 1/5) which is ELECTED by the council to represent FA in matters and will be trusted to make decisions during the week on behalf of the council (through a majority HC vote)
Officers and the council itself stay the same.
Now it may be me, but is that not more democratic?
Xan is going to have less power in the new FA government than the old one......
yup I totally see how that could be construed as being a dictator. WTG with your reasoning.

To Xanadu and "FA"
Words are worthless if they hide the truth.
However, the actions of the "NFA" this past week have spoken volumes.
To those of Core Domination, it might have been easier to have simply gone along with what's been happening. To stand up for what you believe to be right when the odds may be against you is a sign of courage and integrity.
IMHO Your actions speak very well of you. Respect to you and yours. "It is easier to fight for principles than to live up to them." Alfred Adler |

To say that 1/3 of the FA worked against the FA is a blatant untruth. The old member list is found all over the place.

Has this changed since the coup? :) There never was any elections in the initial .gif we were presented with. The HC was said to consist of 5 prominent corps. And NOT elected by the council. I prodded TS and Sastul about this on the night of the coup. And I was stonewalled.

You are not, because you've tried and succesfully gotten rid of all elements that even vaguely criticised you. FINFL, EVEM were voted in because you thought they would be good additions. And though for many of us they just seemed to be a way for you to work around the 10-vote rule.
Some of us in FA trusted XAN to work for the alliance. But it turned out you were the ones working against it. Atleast Revolution had the decency to leave.

You are correct that both EVEM and Finfleet were sponsored by Xanadu. That being said, Finfleet and EveMarshals have a relationship extending back a very very very long time. We are both committed anit-Pirate organizations sharing a common set of ideals and goals. Xanadu, Big, Hirr, DE and the rest of the larger FA corps know this. Xanadu did not sponsor us on the condition that we (or either of us individually) unconditionally agree with them (or on any condition whatsoever, other than those conditions all FA corporations are subject to). Rather they sponsored us because we fulfill the commitments that we make and because we are both dedicated PVP corporations.

I will add to what Matando has stated.
Those members of nFA who come to us in friendship, we will maintain those friendships.
We have already moved our assests and resources out of nFA space.
To our old friends who left FA, we still acknowledge you as our friends.
We have no beef with any corporations within nFA. However, we will be lapdogs for no one.
Nothing to see here .... move along. |

This is my Tempest. There are many like it but this one is mine. My Tempest is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Tempest is useless. Without my Tempest I am useless. I must fire my Tempest 1400mm howitzers true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my Tempest and myself are defenders of my corporation, we are the masters of my enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen. |

If you will look at that you would realise that there is a BIG arrow poiting from FA Council to High Council with elect writen on it. The reason the HC hasn't been elected yet is that we always have meetings on saturdays, and there hasn't been any saturdays since last saturday so there hasn't been the chance to vote on anything yet. Any decisions needing till the HC is elected have been decided upon by all ceo's or spokespeople who were on at the time.

Elected? Well if you call ousting any corp with eneough votes in the council to stop the 5 big corps left from voting in anyone they choose then yes the high council is elected. However with the remaining corps in FA it would take a nearly unanimous vote of all the other corps to stop you from putting your lackeys in the high council.
TFF was an avid supporter of the old FA but although we are not hostile to the "repaired" (laugh) FA we feel that we have been treated badly and any type of candy coating by Xan is just so much hogwash.
