So when is the price of Bombs going to drop below 20mil? Was this CCP's idea of a joke to make them so rare that no one would actually use them?

Price of bombs is directly tied with the value of minerals, so even if no one bought them the prices still wouldn't drop below the cost of the minerals required to build them. The solution to making bombs cheaper lies in reducing the material requirements, and only CCP can do that.

A wise man once said.. "If you build it, he will come."
Build a bomb... that's how everyone in the real world does it. Then, its free... the only cost is the time it took you to mine.
Just make sure when you launch your bomb, that its not for nothing.

No....it still cost 15m, whether you mined the minerals or not the value of building it is still 15m.

So if you mine the minerals yourself, the minerals are somehow free? Do you not value the time you spent mining? Do you not realize those minerals have an opportunity cost? If you choose to use the minerals to build the bomb, the bomb will STILL cost you ISK, because you could have sold the minerals and got ISK for it instead.

No matter what the cost, the fact is that bombs are pretty much useless.
If you attack any group of ships, one out of two things will happen in 95% of cases: 1. The bomber dies before the bomb explodes, so the bomb doesn't go off 2. The group is so big you lag and die before releasing the bomb
And given the fact you need quite a few bombs to go off to do any real damage, they are essentially useless, at least against any competent opposition.
