been playin eve for 2 years and maybe after ambulation how bout some nasty lookin aliens we can shoot maybe somethin that looks like out of predator or alien movies >.< no jovian highly advance super race please lol

yeah like make it more interesting for a larger player base = more money also means more fixes and instead of making passive judgement why not explain yourself.

Adding an alien race wont make EVE more interesting. EVE already has an awesome storyline and CCP can do a LOT with it, aliens would just be stupid and **** it all up.

The nasty aliens will only appear after the Jove lose the war. Then we'll get access to Jove space where we can explore for the lost treasures of Jove knowledge while trying to fend off a superior foe.

Nasty looking? Sanshas are pretty dang ferocious looking, and Rogue Drones are not pretty, and Blood Faiders fly ships that are splattered with human blood (well...). Do these things not heighten your sense of unfamiliarity? Not really? I'll tell you why: They're all just little red crosses with three progress bars each on them. Alien races and time-traveling monsters and tree-based solar rayguns will all just be so many "+" signs on the overview and in space. Shootable NPCs in EvE are boring, and that's fine. They're like power pellets in Pac-Man. Chew a few thousand up, build your score, than go pew-pew against real people, who are meaner, tougher, and uglier than any NPC.

One of the neat things about EVE is that there is no concrete right and wrong, like real life. Games such as WOW usually give you a black and white definition of different groups, either classed as "good" or "evil". EVE is different in that the entire galaxy is in shades of gray (morality wise). There is no definite good or evil, and adding an alien race that everyone thinks is "evil" would kinda compromise that.
Edit: Also, many players came from WOW to escape the dwarf and elf bullcrap, and they like the fact that it's human vs human.

Aliens are more or less a Cliche these days in space based scifi and would really make things tacky. You have Star Trek to thank for that... not star wars as much though...

I wouldn't mind some animated portraits when fighting rats together with sound clips. At least for high profile rats. Either BSs or named mission rats and/or officer and escalation spawns.

I got a feeling adding another race is probably going to ruin the immersion experience for most players much like the scrin ruined mine in C&C...

CCP is curently reviving the event division to bring more immersion, I'm sure they'll find us things to shoot and reasons for it!
