Edited by: Fist1 on 31/03/2008 01:35:20 just finished reading the 3rd book in Jack Campbell's "The Lost Fleet" series. while I am waiting for him to release his 4th book I want to read some similar books. I really seem to enjoy space fleet battles and stuff and this is the first kind of series like this I have read. any suggestions?

People keep suggesting these books on these forums.
They're significantly about spaceships pew pewing. The author has come up with a rationale for ships engaging in sail ship type broadside combat and mixes it with point defence and ECM etc.
It's a bit silly but I enjoyed the first couple.
You might also enjoy Iain M Banks hyper intelligent sentient spaceships scheming and fighting. EVE RELATED CONTENT |

I really like the space fights in the first Halo book. I know hur hur halo sucks, but the first book was actually good, and I enjoyed the space fights most of all in it.
Thanks to EVE Art Store for the sig. |

*me rubs hands*
look for books by alistair reynolds (may be spelt wrong). His books are intelligent, there are quite a lot of them, include ginormous space ships +teh all awesomeness doomsday weapons. Its a quasi-series type thing although i read them randomly in any order and they all made sense.
While not really space fleet the books by Dan Simons are teh uberness. 4 books in the series: Hyperion # The Fall of Hyperion # Endymion # The Rise of Endymion
