Greetings All,
IGÇÖve been playing EvE now off and on for a few years and I have to admit I very much enjoy the game. I do very much agree that without good friends/good corp that the game can feel very boring/lonely.
So that is why IGÇÖm looking for a corp (or possibly even starting one of my own depending on the responses I get). However my requirements (and what I offer a corp) are a tad bit different. Let me explain:
Dedication: Many corps just want to fill their ranks with just about anyone for numbers sake. I for one will not be just a number. The corp I chose can be large/small/just starting as long as they are always there for each other. As a result I will always be willing to help my corp-mates in the same fashion. IGÇÖm not an EvE expert by any means but my resources/time and skills are at the disposal to the corp as needed with no strings attached.
Example: Say a corp-mate is under attack, I (as should several others from the corp) will drop what IGÇÖm doing to assist. I will willingly fly into a hopeless situation and die a flaming death if it means I can buy my corp-mate the time they need to escape. The ship and equipment I lose is well worth it if it proves to the corp that I will always have their back. On the opposite side of that, nothing secures my loyalty more that to see my buddies fly in with the rest of the cavalry and blast the living **** out of my attackers/gankers. Which brings me to my next requirement.
Loyalty: Mine will always be to my corp and to the guy flying next to me. I absolutely hate jumping back and forth between corps and have little respect for those who do.
Active corp: Recruiters like to throw this word around and many refer to actions that the corp takes (mining ops, roaming PVP, etc). I would prefer a corp that is just as, if not more, socially active as opposed to action active. Some of the best times IGÇÖve ever had on EvE were just chatting away while I run missions solo or with a buddy. It doesnGÇÖt mean we canGÇÖt do things as a corp; in fact I highly encourage that. I just donGÇÖt want to be in a corp that has 2 members on all day and then 200 just a few mins before the next mining op.
Strong Leadership: Nothing spells doom like having leaders who are never around. Almost as bad are those who never listen to the corp members. If you have a direction/plan for the future of the corp: Great. Just keep in touch with us underlings. Or even better yet, donGÇÖt treat us like underlings to begin with. As a member it is not my place to judge the decisions of upper management. However making us feel like we are all contributing would definitely help in the long run. I know this part is quite subjective so feel free to make your own interpretation on it. Making a difference: However it is achieved is at the discretion of the corp management but I want to make a difference in EvE. To be able to look back at something we did as a team and say GÇ£we did thatGÇ¥ or GÇ£weGÇÖve been thereGÇ¥.
Long term: Not much explaining needed but IGÇÖm in it for the long haul.
As far as details on me: GÇó15mil SP (like I said, off and on for a while) GÇóIGÇÖm on practically every day now: oM-F Australian TZ (I work swing shift) oSat & Sun US west TZ primarily but on for the most part all day. (also live in this TZ) GÇóMain focuses so far have been mission running, mining, industry, invention, PI, trade. GÇóWhat am I up for? Everything (why limit myself right?)
So if I havenGÇÖt bored you to the point of podding yourself, let me know if your corp is interested.
ALSO, if there are others out there who are looking for the same thing as myself, please chime in and hijack the topic. At the very least I would have saved you the time it takes to write all this nüè
