As CEO of an empire based primarily PVE corp (this character is an alt for security reasons - don't want the enemies to know I'm looking for help until I have secured it) I am looking for an alliance that would be willing to help us take on what I would describe as an Empire extortion corp (pay this amount of isk or we declare war).
I could hire mercenaries to do the job, however as I was already looking for an alliance before the war began I would rather use this as an opportunity to forge a strong relationship with an alliance as friends under fire (it also presents a good opportunity for skilled PVP pilots to give some of our inexperienced pilots a few extra pointers). Plus in all honesty a decent mercenary is really expensive - I'd rather pay that money to an alliance to fight alongside us in the long term.
All of our members are very generous people and are happy to help out on ops whenever we are capable (and even times when we almost aren't  ). I cannot give away any specifics due to the necessity for secrecy but I'm sure if you give us a chance we will show you our worth.

ps. In my opinion there are two kinds of pirates - those that steal from others for profit and the thrill of being on the wrong side of the law but who still maintain some code of conduct, and those who are pirates simply for the pleasure they take from ending the enjoyment of another. The former have an important role in EVE - they make low-sec exciting, the latter are simply bullies by another name.
I don't know if posting using an alt is wrong, but I'm hoping its not as if it is there should be an 'anonymous' way of posting (so only ccp knows who did it).

If you are interested in an actual alliance and being in one, then we might have a nice place for you, IF you just want an alliance to fend off your war dec then thats another story.

in eve you have tpo give to receive if you cant afford allies then you have to join them i.e. alliance some alliance's have very little requirements and are just looking for simple and safer empire existance.
but having been in your shoes myself with my corp my best advice is play it hard and be stubburn never pay out and nevre ever surrender in time they wil get bored and realise its pointless and move on.
or you could just bite the bullet and indulge them and have some fun while your doing it. keep updated clones dont worry about loosing ships as thats not the end of the world.
starting out in eve is hard for all new corps you will earn more respect from your enemies buy standing your own ground.once they realise your not ever going cough up they will move on

The same way we don't pay terrorists in RL, you shouldn't be paying any ransom to the online terrorists either. Get blown up with pride

I am interested in joining an alliance not simply defeating a war dec. I would feel it was my duty to repay any alliance for their assistance in kind (ie. providing what assistance I was capable of to the alliance).
Were I interested solely in defeating this war dec I would go immediately down the path of hiring mercenaries, but I would prefer to establish a long term friendship within an alliance.

Eve mail me ingame and we can have a chat. Our alliance is looking to add more corps to the roster. we prefer it if the corps coming in are without war decs but if you can give me some more details regarding locations, numbers and ability then we could come to an aggreement
