What do you do when you are waiting for something in a group? Well, the natural answer is : You orbit someone!
To bring this "tradition" to the rest of the EVE citizens, I came up with an idea - a big orbit chain 
All who are willing to participate in the weirdest event arranged ever (?), join channel "Orbit" and gather at the Jita gate in New Caldari on Sunday 18/4 20.00 EVE-time. Together, we will try to make a record in the largest orbit chain made in the history of eve ever!
For those who don't know what an orbit chain is, here is an explanation :
The first person orbits something, in this case the first person will orbit the New Caldari -> Jita gate. The second person orbits the first person, the third person orbits the second person and so on. We could also make a ring orbit, where the first person orbits the last person. We could do both

Any ship should do. It will probably be funnier for you if you bring a fast frig than if you bring a slow hauler or bs though...

You would want the slowest ship being orbited by the next fastest and so on till the fastest ship is the last orbiter
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

Complicated one... whether we can do that or not depends on how many ppl that show up, I don't want to spend all night creating the chain...

I could attend, however I fear the ship I come in might be a little bit to fast and disrupt the chain

Or show up with your ingame character, or an alt
Or you could be the last person in the chain or something

Thanks to all who attended
I know many ppl had problems making it there - several of which I know irl - both because of real life issues and because they were afraid of getting stuck in the highway with the heavy lag at the moment 
If I arrange this again, I'll probably pick a less crowded system, or a less crowded moment...
Also, many thanks to Nebulai for showing up and letting us see one those famous ³berships, and also thanks for the greentext announcement in local

hehe well i heard from an anonemous souce that that wasnt possible. I think it was from the orbit party

Ok, you do the dishes then, it's a "small" pile now
Hmm... next time... dunno really... maybe this saturday would be good, since the feared lagdevil kept ppl from coming the last time (otherwise, it'd make more sense with at least a month in between).

You mean saturday? I'm trying to avoid the lagpeak, some ppl (*cough* Traquis Marman *cough*) don't dare to visit the highways during the peak hours...
Edit : For various reasons (recent patch, coming hardware upgrades and the fact that I didn't really announce it) I have decided to wait one more week before arranging it again.

bah! i never noticed this post til now... will there be another one of these? seems interesting.. i joined in a small aproach ring by a gate in Nonni once in a shuttle with a handful of strangers and it was pretty cool :P. Second person aproached the first, third person aproached the second, ect, and then the first person orbited a stargate and once we were moving at a good constant pace, the first person started to approach the last person. It was tough and it took several tries, but once we finally got it, we ended up with pretty much a perfect ring of shuttles spinning around a gate.. it was cool

There isn't anything planned at the moment, but I might arrange another one in the future some time. I don't wanna do it in low sec space, and concord has a tendency to destroy my ships when I enter high sec space, so it'll take some time before I can arrange it again. We do most fighting in 0.0 nowadays, and it seems to be possible to raise the sec status again, so in a few months or so I might arrange another one
