Hi all,
Ive had a dig around and I can't find another post on this so thought i'd start one.
Now we have the tabs, and the brackets on the overview, Does anyone have a recommended Overview setup for
Mining / industry ? PVP ? PVE ?
I have to be honest and say that the amount of options are slightly confusing, and I tend to be left with the default, but it seems that the Overview now has the potential to be very useful.
Thoughts appreciated.
Thanks,
XFranc

lollin'
anyway, a generic pvp view is to remove all friendlies from view including corp mates, alliance mates and all the rest, leave gang and the bad & neutral standings included with neutral having priority--I believe this should also color drones although my priorities might be slightly different
in the ship section make sure they all ship types are visible and checked, this can sometimes be problematic during patches when new ships are added but not checked by default
for larger encounters you could have two subviews; one that has all frigs and cruisers only and another with battleships and/or capitals exclusively and swap between the two depending on what your level of engagement is
remember that you can right click items like fighters or large collidables in deadspace to add, scroll and remove them to quickly find what you're looking for ___ Eve Players are not very smart. Support Killmail Overhaul

I'm a mission runner, so I have three tabs - flight (gates and stations), combat (rats), and non-combat (wrecks, cans and mission cans).
I just wish they'd be saved server side like they used to. I've still got a setting from when the overview was first introduced, but I can't save any changes, and so much has been changed.

I've tried customizing new tabs, but all that happened was the default settings were reset on all 3 tabs

I find the overview somewhat complex to setup and I have not been able to show scramble/weebbing status at all. Does these statuses work?

They show automatically on top of overview entries - they are not something special to add.

I have not seen this at all. Do they only apply to player ships or NPCs as well? There are colour options for them, but I've never seen any change. How does it show? In an earlier Dev blog I saw icons for them, is that how it is show?

A rightclick on the tab will solve your problems.

You need to save a preset for each tab, and in the tab options set the tab to use the preset. Hope that helps...
I've figured out ways that it is more useful than before, but there is still the missing Alt key that is supposed to be fixed in some fashion "SoonÖ" ------------

More stuff to tweak in the overview also means more pain when the next patch hits and we gotta redo them all again.

They show a small icon to the far right of the name, works on both player ships and npcs. Possibly the most useful addition to the overview.

Yes,.. it doesn't have it's own column, so it's a good idea to resize your overview in such a way as to leave a bit of empty space with no info to the right of all the line item information on a ship in the OV, since the effect icon always appears near the right hand border of the OV on a given line item.
