Hi all, I've just got my hands on a shiny new Thorax and want to know the best way to equip it for fighting.
On my celesitis I had 3 x 250mm hybrid railguns and 2 missile launchers with Havoc missiles.
But the Thorax doesn't allow missile launchers and I can't fit more railguns cos of the powergrid.
So what is the ideal weapons/fighting configuration for the Thorax then?

MWD, webber and warp scrambler

If you are going for npc¦s then you are better off using rails and keep a distance. Something like 4 250mm rails should keep and a smartbomb for incoming missiles in the fifth high slot.

My old thorax setup used to be:
Hislots: 4x 250mm Proto Gauss with lead ammo (250mm rails will do if you cant afford 18mill of guns)
Medslots: Medium C5-L shieldbooster, Photon Scattering field, Heat Dissapation field (T2 shield booster works even better)
Lowslots: 4x Power Diagnostic Unit 1s, Capacitor Power Relay 1.
Optimal range was 30km for me, would be about 25km with standard rails. I used those hardeners as I was based in a Blood Raider area (lasers), swap the photon scattering for a ballistic deflection if you are in gallente space (serpentis).
Was nice as I had near limitless cap and decent shields etc from PDUs. You'll need engineering 4 to pull all that off too =)

Well I haven't exactly got 18mil lying around in small change but I will try your config (or as close as I can get to it!) next time I'm off killing, thanks :)
