Just playing around in EFT, trying out some setups for my longterm goal ships. This can permarun the whole setup even without the Nos, does 1.8 km/s and ~132 DPS according to EFT with okay skills. (Most skills involved were set to level 4 except those required to be 5)
[Taranis, Taranis] Micro Auxiliary Power Core I Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II
1MN Afterburner II Warp Scrambler II Stasis Webifier II
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Small Nosferatu II
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
Hobgoblin II x2

get a mwd, down grade to ions and get rid of that mapc to, if you realy want to fight underweb range(blasters so) get a plate+dmg control buffer at least.

Edited by: David Devant on 04/04/2008 16:12:37 For belt piracy in low sec there's nowt wrong with abs. MWD is only essential for 0sec where you might have to burn back to the gate. You'd only kill noobs with it but meh. Isn't that what your after? *snip* - signature removed, email us with a link to the signature if you want to know why. -Ivan K ([email protected]) |

Needs a DCU II imo.
Other then that, very much fine (yes, AB ceptors are perfectly fine for low-sec belt piracy)... is it possible to ditch the MAPC somehow (maybe by dropping the NOS)?

Edited by: Dyaven on 04/04/2008 17:22:40 Even if I drop the Nos and leave the 4th high empty, I'm 2 PG short if I add a DCU II. Guess I'll have to add Engineering 5 to the to-train list for this ship. ---- In the beginning the Universe was created. I think cheap ships abs are fine I wouldn't fly anything of worth in low sec without MWD. The Taranis needs some sort of buffer tank to be able to use its dps. Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. |

Fixed. This leaves about 80% of the population of cruisers in low sec that you can kill.

This is my 0.0 taranis setup for solo roam. Great for killing other interceptors/frigattes/haulers/miners and cruiser pilots who doesn't have much experience.
3x Light Neutron Blaster II - Tungsten if you're chasing intys, antimatter for anything bigger/slower 1x Empty or small nos (namned)
1x 1MN Microwarpdrive II 1x Fleeting web / Webifier II if you got the cpu (you probably will have it if you leave the 4th highslot empty) 1x Disruptor
1x Overdrive II 1x Micro Auxilary Power Core I 1x Damage Control II
2x Warrior IIs, or Hobgoblins II
Your 800+ hitpoint in structure +60% resist is your "tank"
