Well, my question is how to best fit the battleship "Tempest"..
Im going to use it for missions. Im going for Shield tanking. All from low to high slots. Im not good at fitting war ship. Im a simple miner ;) hehe..
Any ideas are welcome :)

Just upgrade to a maelstorm.
The tempest is sub par to the maelstorm in PVE but if you want to fly it that bad.
6 1200's
Xl booster Booster Amp 2 Harder's for mission 1 Inv field
3 Gyro's 3 Pdu's
I am not sure it all fits but its how i would load one should i ever find a reason to use it over the maelstorm. Death is great rember where all dying to get there. |

The tempest is worse than the maelstorm

Xl booster Booster Amp 2 Harder's for mission 1 Inv field
3 Gyro's 3 Pdu's

Just used EFT and it will fit with around 6 cpu left over so the last 2 high slots can't be used with out a cpu mod or inplant.
Then we update this topic.. how to best fit a maelstorm? From low to high slots :)

Edited by: Twin blade on 05/04/2008 02:06:50 8 1200's
Xl Booster Booster Amp 2 Harder's for rat damage 1 Inv 1 AB
3 Gyro's 2 Pdu's
Over all there both set up all most the same only the maelstorm can do it better even if its slower to turn for warping out of a mission(lol like it needs to with that tank). Death is great rember where all dying to get there. |

Looks decent but i would dump the afterburner for a tracking computer, otherwise you won't hit many cruisers orbiting at <20km.

I never found tracking to be a problem since i can outrun more or less any mission curiser and pop them befor they are close but the TC would help more for lower SP lvl's. Death is great rember where all dying to get there. |

My alt has perfect gunnery skills and the TC (with tracking script) still helps *alot*.

Personally I would run 1400s, they should fit with that many PDU's. I like the extra damage.

Actually 1400'es do alot less dps, they only have half the clip size. and you already need to reload ever 2 NPC bs' with 1200''es..

With Minmatar BS 4, is a Shield Boost amp even needed? The Bonus of the Mealstorm should pretty much take the place of a amp. --------------- This sig has been censored in fear of recieving the ban hammer... |

Not that it's needed, but it's probably more helpful than another hardener, as it should stack ontop of the bonus without penalty.

It helps make it more cap stable by boosting the Hp to cap rate with 1 Amp you boost around 1k hp give or take a few hp.
It can be replaced with more or less any thing you like TC or cap recharger work nice but i like to have the added tank just in case of lag. Death is great rember where all dying to get there. |

Edited by: Isonkon Serikain on 05/04/2008 23:45:43 the pest kinda sucks after the sensor booster changes. For missions and shield tanking i'd use the maelstrom.
800mm autocannons
shield tank (keep 1 slot for an Afterburner and 1 for a web or tracking computer.
a couple gyros.

This is my Maelstrom mission fit:
8x 1200 II
XL Booster II, 2x SBA II, 2x Invuln II, Fleeting Webber
2x Gyro II, 3x Beta Reactor CPR
3x CCC
I know, the CPR's nerf the shield boost, but with BS it still boosts over 1000 a cycle.
If you have the right skills and go for cheap 3% cap recharge and cap capity implants its cap stable ( just about ).
The only real issue are 20km orbiting cruisers but as long as you fly to keep transversal down you can usually get them down pretty quick, and if you have good drone skills a wave of 5 Tech II meds will kill any mision cruiser anyway.

1,2 or 3 gyros doesnt make a difference among 1400 or 1200 setups. What does matter is the major boost in tracking that 1200's get and the need to reload only half as much, which, with a ROF of about 7s makes about 15% difference in DPS, much more than the difference between 1200's and 1400's. And you get the better tracking and easier fitting, too.
