Still trying to wrap my mind around the words but.... finaly we find out what happened in that Mexican standoff.... wtfness - I thought Lelouch was supposed to be a crap shot with a pistol....
A few spoilers follow...
Some images that may be of interest, this image of Lelouch was the most memorable.... apart from this. Remember that girl who flipped in ep 25 with the nuke? Well.... shes baaack.....

Just watched the Eclipse-subbed version, awesomeness. = Soilers may follow... =
Thankful that this episode revealed a little more of what happened between S1 and R2, even if all they had to do was spell it out. I heard a rumour that Orange-kun was making a come-back, any truth behind this? I'd like to make a wild guess that Lollopop is one of the Knights, but he must be above and beyond since the Emperor said that only Suzaku knew about the Geass. Interesting to learn about different Geass powers, but I wonder which one Lollopop has. What a twist at the end though.
Now we have to wait another week.

Lollopop, nice name. We also have that Lollipop on Suzakus side (the pink haired one - nothing being recycled there....) so that is going to stick.
With regards to Ep3 - going to be interesting. I wonder how the hell Vincent was near telleporting....

2 kicks to the balls here - the British haven't managed to reclaim the motherland yet (British Isles).

Any idea on what the backstory is on the Empire vs the EU, ie. when the hell did they lose the motherland between the colonial era? That's a little bit ridiculous. Unless the EU was led by a certain Mr H. or something in the mid-20th Century... I thought the 'turning point' between the CG reality and ours was that the colonials didn't win their revolutions? I would have thought the Empire would still retain its territories like India, China and Ozland... minor geo-historical quips, but still bugging me.
Lollipop girl seems to be part of the Rounds too, is she the one called Zino? Not sure where I got that name from, might have been a sneak-preview site or something, but hope they don't introduce ALL the knights at once, that would be far too confusing. Looks like every 7th age KMF (or at least the Knights') will have a Hadron cannon... just not what it used to be anymore since everyone's got one now...
Lollo is annoying me already - where the hell did he come from and who the hell is he? Grr. Wonder where that brat V.V. is as well.
Would like to see more of Lakshata & co. and Lloyd/Nina & technician lady in the next ep as well, they must have some new gadgets to show. Currently, all this new season really lacks is pizzas, nukes, and cowbells...

Short version is Elizabeth beaten, Brittania established in North America. Brittania soaks up the other European colonial assets in the Americas as they have lost logistics support from their Motherlands - conquored by France. Brittania starts analysing where they buggered up and builds an armada - WW1 begins when the Brittanian Armada begins its war of reclaimation of it's motherland. Brittania wins the motherland due to superior technology, and decides to capatalise on its early victory and does something akin to Operation Overlord - a full scale invasion of mainland Europe. French Empire starts to crumble, old kingdoms start claiming independance in hopes of being left out of the conflict, Brittania ignores this. Fragmented European kingdoms form the EU, a defensive pact against Brittania and a war of attrition is the Great war as the EU pushes Brittania out of mainland Europe and onto Britian.
Cold War continues until present day.
Thats my thought on it
Of course I said that as pure speculation based on stuff we knew from series 1.
I still beleive its like that, only that the Brittanians were ultimatly pushed out of Europe and out of the British isles entirely.
Basicly - we beat Washington but lost Trafalgar, had to fight the Grande Armee on British soil - and lost. Domino effect is the Brits developed the Americas as opposed to Australia and India..... though theres hints that India may be a dominion as opposed to an area.
And yes, Lolipop is Anya. Theres an image going around of the 6 mains it seems, the old 4 plus Zino (the blonde) and Anya. Best caption so far is "Congratulations Suzaku - coimming out of 2 closets at once".
Yes.... look at what Lelouch did with Hadron cannons - what fool wouldn't build more of those clean WMDs?

I clearly wasn't paying attention because I hadn't realised that Britannia had lost the motherland till today, when I saw that map I was like "wtf?!". But I understand now. It's a bit silly that they lost it and haven't managed to get it back yet though
Alternatively, the CG animators don't actually know where England is ¼_¼

Has been suggested in some of the magasines that Brittania has been in perpetual war with Europe for allmost a century - I think we can both guess what this dual of superpowers is over

Yeah I just watched a few moments of the animation at the start of what was leaked. I didn't bother listening to it as I can't understand Japanese anyway.
They better not delay it. I'll be freakin' ****ed if they do -_-

Odds are they will freeze production, remake the leaked part and let it go.
Last time something like this happened it took around a fortnight to sort out....
If its one of the senoir directors.... then it could be put on hiatus for the next screening (ie wait 6 months). Thats because advertisers will have allready paid for the Geass premium slot and one of the current shows could be replaced for a reshuffle of the timetable.
The bits worth watching are just before the credits - Lelouch has Rollo cornered and about to Geass.... then instantly Rollo is behind Lelouch with Lelouchs gun pointed at him.
Also....CC surprised/fear?... dont see that everyday... Of course it has the C.C twist when it looks like shes surpressing it quite well.

Just watched Eclipse's release of Ep3, did they actually go ahead and air it or was it the leaked version? Either way, Rolo's Geass is kind of imbalanced to be honest... how vicious does it want to be.

Oh yea - but its probably a one trick pony in when you know whats going on, you dont get done so easily a second time.
By that I mean when he knows Rollo can be doing that, expect him to do something with splash damage.
Also with ragards to the USJ.... lets be honest - what states? Commonwealth is much better sounding.
Best part was definitly Kallen chatting with C.C....

Good Lord. Rollo's Geass is so blatently sick, overpowered and broken. Why the hell isn't HE the emperor?
One small point: does he actually freeze time or just people? Because if he froze time, the air wouldn't move and he'd suffocate wouldn't he? Not to mention being trapped in a cage of solid air. |

His seems to be an area of effect, stops the perception of time.
Its just making people space out on demand realy.
Hes going to be in for a shock when he meets C.C, this means he will be just him and C.C moving..... That and the locket, Rollo goes psyco without the locket...

Yeah I agree, his Geass seems to be an area of effect on people - they freeze, if you notice - time passes normally as when he kills the eavesdropping agent, the water still flows behind them as well.

Well.... woah.
This is the obligitary filler episode.... if you can call it that, its entartaining and at bits I was laughing my head off.
Its the festival episode, Suzaku takes command of the spec ops unit, and in an attempt to shock Lelouch meets him. The idea seems to be that if they meet, Lelouch may slip up or C.C may make a move.
The next thing does, a chore for Suzaku - make giant pizza with KMF, again...... best bit - what Lelouch did to C.C when he found her walking around and someone walked round the corner..... |

I just happened to refresh near the moment it was released and went and downloaded it immediately from a nice and fast direct download server (because the torrents are pretty terrible at first). I then went back to re-watching Gundam Seed for the 6th time.
But in any case, it was a really awesome episode. It was fun but there were enough interesting parts to stop it being entirely pointless. Suzkau's reappearance is interesting. You certainly wouldn't expect a Lord, a Knight of the Round, to go to a "commoners school" (That guy is awesome).
The end bit was also really awesome. Not to mention all the lovely fanservice |

Woah... he's back! Nice introduction to the other 7th-gen KMFs even though they're already in the intro sequence, Anya's somewhat creepy. Shame about the giant pizza fail again, I was looking forward to C.C. getting her dream, I lol'd hard when she got tomato'd. Wonder whether the Eunuch General played any significant part in Lelouch's plans?

well it would be sweet if anya played the roll of a mordred like character. sense her knightmare is named that and all.
the mordred from the king arthur stories. maybe she will be the one to kill the number 1 knight of the round or something in a act of betrayal. leaving the slot open for suzaku?...
ehh doesnt sound that great but, something like that would be kinda cool i think.

Naturaly people are thinking the same as you, that Anya is going to defect to Lelouchs side..... Nunalys betrayal kind of balances things out.
Appropriatly he was the brother of Gawain, Lelouchs unit.... Though that may because it is its successor as the Heavy anti Everything platform.

I just found out - the Geass dub has started broadcasting in the US.
Apparently the North America = Britian ticked off a few people if the forums are a judge, but.....
The voice actors - they botched it.... Lelouchs VA is terible.... go have a look on youtube, they botched it, they have Crispin Freeman for gods sake and you did that with his talent?....

Heh, I have to agree there. I don't like those voices at all. But then again I'd always imagined them having British accents in the English dub (even though that was never going to happen) so it's hardly surprising.

I'm not a big fan of the english voice either, but I do have to admit when lelouche does one of his "epic" type speeches the contrast between his normal voice and his "command" voice seems much more extreme.
