Is there really a need to have NPC corps in your employment history? Just clutters it up....and looks liek you have been in lots of corps, all i want to know is the player corps a persons been in.
Also allow ppl to change names - if you want to keep an employment history well have a character name history too.. Lots of ppl would want this feature and CCP a bit of a missed money spinner!

dont change corps so oftern then?
maybe allow name change when you buy a char off some 1 else but no other reason.

I can see your point about removing NPC corp's from the employment history but i disagree about being allower to change a characters name. Think of the different ways it could be abused; scammers, spies, corp thieves etc

Npc corps should definately be removed as they are meaningless, unless of course faction warfare comes out then those details may be useful.
As for changing names, its vital that this be allowed within certain guidlines.
1) Eve is a roleplay game and many names just dont fit the background and should be enforced changed by the GM at an early stage re:koreaniskfarmer001 and koreaniskfarmer002 etc)
2) Any name change should not be a flat name change but rather a "call sign" change with an "Allias" list similar to the employment history. In effect this will allow the "display" name to change whislt keeping the old name as part of that character (with the obvious exception of GM name changes for eula reasons)
3) Ranks and Titles should be removed from character names, I hate the "admiral" in my name as I now realise that it can be a hinderence in the Role Play aspect of Eve. We have a rank and title system and it should be used to indicate rank and title.
I have petitioned to have my name changed very early on in my Eve career even wrote my Bio to explain my real name and where it comes from. But the GM are not interested every petition it seems gets the stock "no, blah blah doesn't fit within our rules"
I'm in my fifth year of continuous Eve play, in the early days GM would listen and make common sense decisions now with the WoW effect of mass server loads and 101 noobs they just say no to everyone it seems.
I sincerly hope they take notice of this thread though  .

Honestly your name is your Identy, other then EULA naming rules violations I dont think names should be xchanged. You want to get revenge on your enemies.
However, I can see when a charachter is sold/traded thru the allowed ingame channels that they do get their name rest. Its too easy to rob your corp of billions. transfer it all to a second account then sell your 3 year old, now tanished toon for profit, dumping the kamra on some unsuspecting player.

Worth also seeing this thread for an existing notion for name changes and how it might happen.
