Whenever it gets close to 8-9k peeps online it becomes impossible to log on or make transitions (jumps, exit/enter stations etc.) and the lag is awful. I had to log off because my ship jumped through but I didn't. After waiting and watching the stupid "Entering Space" box for several minutes I just logged. Now guess what? When I log back on I get as far as the "Entering Space" window and I have waited for 5 minutes 3 times because the server simply drops me.
If you want to have all these new peeps, upgrade your hardware so everyone can play. I'm not going waste my time just trying to log on. I have learned to tolerate the overall bugginess of the game, but not being able to log on is a whole other matter. You need to get that resolved or your paying players might just leave for another MMORPG and leave you with all your new trial members most of which probably won't end up staying anyway.

Ok ive come to put up with the bugginess as well to AN EXTENT... I figured id never post on these boards because i had no complaints...but as each weekend passes the game begins to be more and more unplayable, and more and more rules are made to make everyone weaker, gates dont work, and The best service you get for glitches is, "try restarting"

The problem if you ask me is that the nodes supporting the highways are way too weak to handle the pressure. Why the highways are still there is beyond me, they serve no purpose other than giving lazy people a faster way of getting back and forth and destroying the market by pretty much preventing any kind of regional differences. It's easy to jump a few times and get the best price in the "entire" galazy
It seems CCP are about to choke themself in success. Oh the irony.

I have thought this for months and do think the highways are the main problem to why there is so much lag every sunday.
CCP,
Be honest, what is the point of having the different races when i being caldari when some amarr, minmatar or gallente, char can get everything i can. And they dont even need to enter caldari space...
I had the experience of playing the game without the highways and it was great. Eve felt massive, now it feels like the UK.
Also the market was like a market. Regions with different prices, now its like you click on the market icon and you are linked to a central eve market...
Taking the highways out will give traders their jobs back and repair the market. please do it ccp. |
