Re-reouting the highways isn't going to fix the problem. It's not Yulai's fault, its the traffic on the highways that the fault. Even more reason to just remove the highways and thus removing the lag in the systems that it passes through.

the thing that strikes me as funny is...
When the highway systems were totally cluttered up with 50+ people haning in limbo at every gate i could still travel trough less populated systems with only very little delay...
After server reboot however things got alot worse somehow.
Seems to me like the servers are handling the crowd fine uptill now although an upgrade soon might be advisible if gameplay is to be smooth at all times.
The real problem seems to be the highways...
So CCP need to spend more recourses on the highways!
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

A lot of the delay would have to do with 9,000 people logging back in, it takes a good long while to settle down after a reboot like that.
Either way, they designed the system and it's not coping, the servers need upgrading, especially with new players joining all the time.

Quote: Yeah today this lag caused some seriously messed up problems for me. Seems it brought out this odd bug where my skill wont finish learning, and cant be aborted. It is stuck completely! BUT I was able to start up training another skill, this one just wont finish.
Having the exact same problem!
btw...it really is only the highways. I was traveling through Yulai and Luminaire yesterday and before and once I was through everything was fine.
If the server is over 9k, avoid the highways or prepare for +30 minutes travel time.
EDIT: Who said its not the highway systems? haha, read this:
