You mean it's not risky enough? I hope that's what you mean... try low sec's risk v reward

They may feel that the market is being saturated with faction gear to too great of a degree. What you call a nerf to faction gear in 0.0 is actually a stealth nerf to Jita, and is intentional. This post is not based on any objective reality, it's just a thought I figured I'd share since someone brought up the topic.

Good point, i've seen a massive drop in faction battleships as well, you think this is down to more players or more isk farmers?

I think a few patches ago, 0.0 faction spawns became more frequent.
But at the same time, the introduced the faction ammo, so instead of getting 2-3 faction mods each time you got a faction spawn, you're now lucky if you get one, it's typically just ammo. I have no data if overall it's less profitable, but it feels less profitable since getting 100s of mil out of a single ship is a lot rarer.

I support the drop in faction ammo prices that have resulted from all this at least. For most charges you don't need to spend a million ISK to load up one gun any more.

Have you actually been to low-sec? Other than flying through it once the first time you went to 0.0?

No im talking about the more mundane stuff......i just dont understand why it's more profitable to be running lvl 4 mission's in high sec, were theres so many, low sec and 0.0 systems that are empty, and probably never never get loaded, because no one pass's through them, they may as well drop half of low sec and 0.0 systems out and put those node rescources into high sec empire.

It's not?
Dude, let me go run killmish for that Q20 lvl 4 pirate agent out in 0.0 sec for (insert pirate faction name here). Oh hang on, I'll get kicked from my corp/alliance for not defending the turf. .
Also, low sec missions, I used to love them. Then scanning became a walk in the park (never usually more than 10 in local and I still get scanned out 2 in every 3 missions). Problem being while there's reasonable distribution of agents, there's only a select few *decent* low sec high quality agents (read: my hi sec Q18 agent gives about 200 less LP than my low-sec Q16 agent). Worth a raven/ransom 2 in 3 missions? Psht
Quote: were theres so many, low sec and 0.0 systems that are empty, and probably never never get loaded
Because I'll get ganked on my return through the bubblecamped 0.0 sec entrance with any loot. See my first response as to why I won't join an Alliance to solve this problem. And when I get spotted ninja ratting because there's "One in system xyz in the last 30 minutes",,, nobody in alliance chat is there, ganksquad on it's way. Then you hear the "NERF CLOAKING AT SAFESPOTS" threads come out
EDIT: Ratting 0.0 is far more profitable than missions IMO. I would comfortably get 40 mil an hour, plus have my mining alt bringing in the bacon with the good ores out there at another 20 mil an hour or so. Plus the occasional hauler spawn/faction/officer spawn which *never* happens in missions.

Only had 1 faction spawn EVER and it was a crappy low-cost implant... And I've done a LOT of ratting over time.

Yep... I keep thinking about how I could make more isk running level 4's in highsec because of the LP rewards and such, shame I'm not allowed in highsec and really don't like it there. ------------

The risk would be being in 0.0. This can be mitigated by being in a corporation that controls the space or forming a deal with that corporation to allow you to rat. You can also cloak or safe spot.
The reward is Tripple 1.85m spawns with 2 cruisers, giving a total of 5.77 million isk (plus another 2-3m in loot - Guristas Usurpers generally drop 425mm railgun Is which sell for about a million each) - so say between 6 and 8 million isk.... for about 5 minutes work. There is also the chance for a commander spawn or officer spawn.
That's your risk vs reward. -- Ralara / Ralarina |

in my experience i wouldnt say faction loot drops have been nerfed, last 4 days i've had 4 dread guirista's spawns ans 1 kaikka officer, only 1 dg dropped ammo and tag and no good loot
