[1] I've often wondered what other players might think of being able to walk-about freely on stations? I'm not sure if it'd be appropriate for a game like EVE, but maybe it is... ??? This could create worlds within EVE. If stations were cities that players could roam around then you could physicially visit a Corporatation's Office, Agents Office, or discover hidden money making opportunities aboard a station. It would also add a new dimension to bringing in Bounty's as players might need to hunt their target's in vast cities and would also need to purchase personal equipment for their characters (hand held weapons?). To be honest, I think there would need to be a lot of valuable and unique features that space station cities would need to possess in order to add entertaining content to EVE. Whether or not cities could be created algorithmically, and services added in similair manner would be an interesting technical question... but perhaps it also suggests that not every station would have a city that could be explored... maybe only larger ones that act as business or entertainment hubs? Keep I'm mind I'm not suggesting that the nature of EVE game play should change to that of a Quake-Style shooter, I'm not. I'm interested in exploring the notion of whether 'city-areas' could somehow and expand the lives of our online characters. Thoughts???? |

[5] Devs said, this feature will never appear in this game... _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

[7] Karon Wodens inhales strongly and for a good time... "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Karon Wodens is done! Well well... first of all, this very old thread is proof that eventually, ideas on this forums break through. Note however that this idea (the OP) is three years old. Second; The devs apparantly said that this would never happen? I remember something like that, yeah. This is concrete proof that CCP contradicts itself to this day. Well done! [8] TBH if you were to actually read all the treads a hell of alot of the requests in this forum do actually make it to the game. Even i have some stuff that i requested make it to the drawing board. There was even a tread ages ago about being able to salvag ships :) But hell yea CCP geve us some legs i cant wait, I would guess we wont see much about it till the end of next year |

[9] Well that's true enough... but some people need confirmation of this, knowing that their ideas aren't just being flung against a wall. I just thought it was humorous to find that thread amongst the oldest threads of the forums. Caldari Prime: Think of that moment, remember what they did... |

[10] If you want to know if your idea has been picked up or not you can take a look at the drawing board its a subtopic of patch notes. If your idea ain't in there then it hasn't been picked up yet. I don't think the devs ever post in a topic saying whether or not they are going to try out an idea as it gets peoples hopes up. |

[12] Sorry, I may be a little slow, but I think this thread's got something to do with this (not so old) entry: Dev Blog: Walking in stations |
