Well we managed to crash eve with the force we pulled together in nothing more than a couple of hours.
As per usual in massive fleet battles there were actually very few kills on either side in comparison to the forces in local.
RKK would like to thank Fade Union, C0D, CELEST, Jericho Fraction, GunSlingers Corp and NORAD members for pulling together a small force to hold off the CA/FE forces.
There was not much smak in local, and most of the evening was cordial.
I believe there is a group picture of the Good force holding the gate and some fraps of the size of the good force coming up later.
Kudos to all involved for making me completely knackered for work tomoz.
Special thanks go out to Eefrit, Doctor Gonzo, Sweatysack, Phonix, Mcbryan, Buddrow, Alexandra from JF, Sean Arek and the F-E forces.

I think you mean "As per usual in massive fleet battles without the "northern SA fleet" involved there were actually very few kills on either side in comparison to the forces in local.
Seriously, is it because "everyone" likes wasting missiles from 100km range, or is it because "everyone" fill all their lows with warp core stabs and doesn't fit any scramblers?

i don't see much of a responce fromt he ca... which is unlike them.
the CA are a great faction to fight against because they actually will show up for a fight... unlike the c4 which even with superior numbers and position will run if they don't have atleast a 10ship advantage.
most of our fights with the ca are around 30/30 these happen oh 3-4 times a week and usally result in an avg of 5-10 ships lost from both sides, sometimes we win sometimes they do, it's all great fun.

Ah well.
As to the "biggest fleet battle ever" I wouldnt say it was the biggest fleet battle, but its definatly the biggest fleet of friendly forces Ive ever seen, I should imagine there was 80ish friendly ships.

ATUK and RUS usually always put up a fight. Then we had the big battle in v-3, where CA were mostly VOTF. But, well, they were under the impression that they were hunting us and that we were fleeing since we were outnumbered. With the current game mechanics, a good players is never hunted, he's always the hunter
Also a big battle in 3-okda with various CA. We had to jump in on them though (with HUGE loading time), as they were moving to slowly towards us, which meant we outnumbered them when they got there.

CA is a rather large organisation and I;m pretty sure the people we fight are not the same people who regularly engages SA forces.
Our fleets are generally not afraid of engaging. As shown by the fleet battle which happened in fade but sometimes there are reasons for both sides for not fighting.

Where was C4 in this fight? There was none since it is not near the territory we operate in!
And since you were not near 4GQ i suppose, you likely didnt noticed our 8 battleships fighting against your 20+ and taking down 1 scorpion to 46% structure while non of ours had shields down. Not bad for a force beeing outgunned, out e -war and outnumbered in general.
So please sTfU. __________________________

i can name about 5-10 times over the weekend where i logged on into 4gq with 8+ sa in local and me. and not a single one of them would undock. so don't tell me that c4 doesn't fight outnumbered. or atleast f*ckin try to. its like pullin teeth with sa trying to get them to fight anymore

hehe originally long range was when you were outnumbered, and still were able to warp out because you are outside warpscramble range (and warped instantly from 0 m/s)
shame most of the fleet battles are at longe range, because not many ships die and most of the kills are from people fleeing to planets/moons/stations/etc
its inevitable to loose some ships at short/medium range, but if it works right you can kill alot. if not you will loose alot, unless they dont fit warpscramblers etc :) |

Quote: unlike the c4 which even with superior numbers and position will run if they don't have atleast a 10ship advantage.

Now, I don't want this to degenerate into a flame-fest, but I felt I just HAD to say something here.
A couple of weeks ago, a small combined BSC and OC force was in C9N-CC at the station there. We had 3 Scorpions and a Rifter if I remember correctly. SA forces in that system numbered a total of 6 - a Breacher, a Rifter, a Scorpion and 3 Tempests. They would not engage us until about twenty more of their friends jumped into the system.
Last night, a small C4 fleet was sitting in U-W(whatever the rest is) with SA on the other side. We sat there for more than an hour I believe, with a single interceptor scout from the SA hanging around. Eventually he got bored and decided to attack us (kudos to him). Then, what do we hear but multiple gate activations - and my scanner starts filling up with yellow bars. We were outnumbered near enough two to one, we engaged and nearly destroyed a scorpion and did destroy a kestrel but eventually had to warp away (with the loss of one rifter).
Today, five frigates, a Rupture and a Blackbird headed up to DSS looking for something to fight. We killed a Scorpion. We decided we would move ahead a few jumps since despite being outnumbered nearly two to one, SA would not fight us. We jumped into AOK and the forces there promptly logged off (though I expect they were in mining equipment so I don't blame them). We sit at the gate for a bit, and again, multiple gate activations. Near enough TWENTY SA battleships and cruisers jumped in.
I know you're going to deny all this, but to be frank I don't give a damn. The simple fact of the matter is that Stain Alliance will not engage a force with equal numbers.
(This is what I think and does not reflect the views of BSC or C4)

Preliminary reports had the ships destroyed at approximately 11-12, 9 killed by Fade, 2-3 killed by Curse. Mostly cruisers and frigates.
Pretty small given the HUGE forces involved no? --------------

out of the 120 in local there was 30 in my gang . Im just gonna assume the rets was the. NORAD, RKK, Celestial Apoc, CoD, and Fade Union Forces. Its not fun being one of only 15 bs's when people are loggiong off though and you look on the map to see them getting MORE reinforcements. Ill just say that was overkill. . On the night I was farting about doing nothing much, when I seen Jad chatting about a station take over! Hmm sounds fun! Woohoo only 21 jumps...
Polished my Kestrel and wished her luck and began on my adventure... 0.0 on your tod when new to pvp is quite hairy! Warnings were coming over comm.'s about enemy activaty near me, after checking local I seen a FE... come on son you can do it!
Finally got to the final and gave a shout that I was jumping into the system... once I jumped in I nearly had a heart attack... about 35 ships were surronding the gate. Eek ticker check ticker check! *phew* friendlies
I've never been subjected to this thing called smacktalk, so I was prepared! Thing is local was very friendly which made my first fleet experience even better. Well done to both sides.
In my eyes this is what EVE is all about, I can seriously say since joining CELES I've had the best days and nights of EVE since joining the game.
