So, these ships, being my main goal in the game (har har name), I have a question that using the search function wasn't really able to help me with. Unless I wanted to buy a character that could fly the recon ships (since that's pretty much all that popped up).
Besides the basic skills that even allow you to fly the ship, what other skills would I need at 4/5 to fly the Rook/Falcon at an "above average" level? And what I mean by "besides the basics", I'm basically talking about the pre-reqs for being able to get into the ship, and the other basic skills most players have at 4/5 anyway (shield skills, gunnery/missile skills, etc etc)
Should I just pack on the SP in the electronic section? Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. |

Evasive Maneuvering - Calfari ships aren't that quick at getting into warp, and you'll be doing that a lot in a Falcon
Powergrid isn't an issue on the Falcon, but it is for the Rook.
Caldari recons are a bit of a one-trick pony tbh. Once you have ECM skills everything else is pretty much optional.

You will definitely train Signal Dispersion to at least IV. Long Distance Jamming should be at IV, too. This will enable you to jam at an optimal range of over 200kms with rigs and racial jammers. Cloaking IV should be obvious when flying the Falcon. Also, it really pays off to train Recon Ships to V for that extra bit of jamming power, if you have the time. It will also enable you to fit both a Covert Ops Cloak and a Recon Probe Launcher, if necessary. To be able to use an MWD is beneficial too, I guess. - Success=Achievements/Expectations

Just a friendly warning:
It happens once a while that CCP nerfs ships to oblivion. Don't be surprised that once you perfected you rook/falcon skills, jamming will recieve an "overhaul" and won't be as effective on rooks/falcons anymore. I am not saying it will happen, just that it might and that it would be very frustrating if you can't fly anything else well.

That's a reasonable warning.
It will take me about another 10 weeks to finish my perfect skillplan for my Falcon. Expect the hit around then.
