The time to learn for Dreadnought will probably take weeks, maybe even months. Therefor it is better to start training than have to train for months while you got one collecting dust in your hangars.
So i want to start training for a dreadnought, it would probably not be worth the cost to fly one and actually use it in battle.. But flying one would be awesome alone.
What is known about the skill requirements, does anyone know by post of the devs? And if you dont know, please state that its your opinion before we get confusion.

First and foremost I believe you will need Battleships 5. Apart from that I can only make an educated guess and suggest you train engineering, electronics, mechanics, navigation and science to 5 as one of these are bound to have a subskill required for their operation. Any half decent pilot is bound to have these skills anyway when tier 2 battleships come into play (way post shiva).

Level 5 battleship takes 2 months to train, so im hoping that won't be it... But the rest any battleship pilot has is my guess.

im prety sure its gonig to take BS 5, spaceship command 5, nav 5, mechanics 5 etc..... it will also have a ridciously expensive and difficult to train (maby rank 10 or 12) dreadnought skill.
for me, atleast BS5 takes about 50 days. i dont think im going to train that til i get some implants, but i bet when i get them some f'ker will pod me

43 days till Minmatar BS lvl5... and im not playing untill 50 days. Easy skill train there then.

Hmmm.
Just been informed DN's will be heavy BS's so it stands to reason that that race's BS skill at lvl5 looks sensible as a pre-req, just as lvl5 in a race's frigate was necessary for Interceptors.
Gah.
40 days to go, maybe I can beat the Shiva release ;)

Ya but the skill probley needs frigate lvl 5 and cruiser lvl 5 plus some other skill of that race to even think about it. At least thats what it looks like for some of the cruiser ships that you need lvl 5 frigate of that race.
Oh well some long training times ahead.
