Hello...
I play on a 22" Wide Screen using 1680x1050. I would like to play in Windowed mode, however, the only available resolution after that is 1440x900. Using 1440x900 I lose alot of screen realestate. Is there a way for me to resize my window so that I don't lose this space?

odd, i can set the windowed mode you want no problem.
iirc EVE gets the list of supported resolutions from windows, so something is borked somewheres.

i have the available resolution 1600x900 next to 1680x1050 which is quite acceptable |

I was looking for for a custom resolution. I want the EvE Screen to be as large as possible, however, I wanted my Start bar to be visible. This works out to be a resolution of 1650x980. I have a ViewSonic VX224SWM, which sports a 16:10 ratio. So the default resolutions do not list this.
However, I did manage to find a way to convice EvE that I my system supported this resolution. The fix requires you to edit the registry, however, if you do not know how to do this, I wouldn't suggest trying as it could mess up your screen resolutions.
Open Regedit. (If you don't know how to do this, search the web).
Choose Edit, Find. Search for NV_MODES.
Modify the first instance, being careful not to accidentally modifying the existing entries. You have to add 2 entrys. The first of 1650x980, and later down the line 1650x980x64.
Press F3 and continue this process until the registry editor says it can't find any more NV_MODES keys.
Exit Registry editor and restart your computer.
When starting EvE, put in your userid and password. Once you are at the character log in screen, press escape and select your new resolution.
You will need to adjust your overviews and such, but that is pretty simple to do.

When I try to resize by taking my mouse on the edge, it doesn't have that option. So any help would be appreciated.

Use a 3rd party program like Powerstrip to create your own resolution. I use 1600x1000 mainly, and that fits nicely windowed into desktop.
PS: Even Powerstrip trial is enough, you just need to create the custom resolution with it, then you can even uninstall the whole program.
