Suddenly I'm missing millions of isk. I guess I was charged for the item. I thought loyalty points you use on items so you don't have to pay. I think I had 22 million and something odd isk and suddly I now have 17.5 million isk so this adds up. This is the second time I have used my loyalty points and came up short isk as if I purchased the item. I could have just purchased the items in the market I had no idea I would be charged for them so now I'm out a total of 9 million isk which is very frusterating because I'm trying to save for a Raven. I would not have used loyalty points if I knew isk would disappear. Anyone else have this problem?

Someone just told me in chat that loyalty points just allow you to get that item.. I didn't know that if that's true..

Originally by: Ghengis Tia Loyalty points are worth about 1K Isk per, so 500 equal roughly 500,000 Isk. The item you purchased with loyalty points most likely has a market value of twice the value of the loyalty points.
If you add the value of the LPs plus the amount specified in the LP store you'll be close to its market value.
Some LP items are worth what the LPs are worth, and you are charged nothing. Others you have to turn in LPs and pay a specified sum.
The real value is that a lot of LP items are only available thru the LP store. For instance, an Amarr Navy Large Armor repairer is 32K LPs and 32M Isk, plus some specific tags you must purchase or obtain from missions. The real value of the Amarr Navy Large Armor Repairer is then about 70M Isk.
Ok that explains alot of things. I've played for 2 1/2 months and didn't know that. It really though me off too because isk disappeared and it wasn't logged in my transactions and I knew for sure I had more isk. I thought wow where could it have gone. I thought someone was stealing my isk or there was something wrong with the game. I'm glad that's cleared up.

For some reason I thought that the price just meant the value the item was worth and you turned in your loyalty points for the item of that value. Well I had that wrong. I'll think twice before using loyalty points. The items I got are a benifit so it will still work out ok. At least my isk isn't just disappearing. I'm just 9 million behind in isk to get a Raven which will take me another day to get at this rate. |
