I have been playing this game now for around 4 months and made it to fly a domi as we speak. I finally finished training up to science 4 and salvaging 3.
So actually i will start salvaging today ^^
My question although is how to do this most efficient?
- Cleaning every thing up and fly in a second ship when i returned (in case yes which ship to use) - Or remove the guns and put two tractor beams and two salvagers on?

You should be able to guess this for yourself, based on how much you use the Domi's guns and how much you feel they contribute to your completion time. Then again, you'll have to bear in mind the Domi's low speed, since those tractors beams don't do anything outside of 20km so.
If you want to be fanatical about the salvage and want to clean up all or most of the wrecks, then coming back in a second ship will be better (don't forget to bookmark all the areas and then finish the missions, as that way all the deadspace obstructions are gone, and you can use a MWD should you wish). If you're mainly running missions for the rewards/LP, but you don't want to miss out on salvage unnecessarily, then you should be able to get a fair amount of salvage using the Domi with tractors and salvagers, without increasing your completion times too much.

I fly missions in a dedicated mission ship, bookmark all the wreck locations along the way, and then come back to salvage in a dedicated salvage ship. For salvaging I am using a a destroyer fitted with 3 tractors and 5 salvagers - along with a 1MN afterburner for a little extra speed and 3 T2 cap rechargers. Salvaging really chews through the cap so the extra ISK for the T2 recharges is well worth it.
Initially I tried salvaging during the mission after each room, but this way seems more efficient even with the extra flight time.

Edited by: Bad Sastard on 11/04/2008 18:35:06 I fly lv 4's in a domi(on my main, which is not active atm) with tractors and salvagers and 1 drone link in the highs. It works really well, especially when you make sure to let the rats get inside 20km before popping them(the ones who orbit outside 20km are annoying, but thats what the AB in mids is for). While not as high on the uberwtfpwn scale and takes a little longer to kill the rats, on the other hand it makes cleanup much faster. I usually will have 1 jetcan that i fill with the loot and metal scraps and keep the salvage in my hold, once each room is cleaned up i bookmark the can. then after the mission is done come back in a hauler to each can and scoop it up. This also makes it harder for the scavengers (my pet term for the guys who come in and salvage other peoples missions) to probe me out so I get to keep all my own salvage.

Just one thing to keep in mind.
Wrecks and jet can's only last about an hour.
So - if you're in a multi room mission that looks like it's going to take a while to complete, salvaging as you go is something to consider.
One thing I've taken to doing with my jet can's - is naming them with the time they were dropped. That way I can see how long I've got before I need to move what's in them to a new can.
