I let my account lapse for a while in February and logged into my account on this site, checking to see if I could see skill progress. I noticed that on the subscription page it said "If you choose to change your payment details now, you'll be charged $14.95 for 6 Month EVE Subscription immediately, giving you a new total remaining playtime of 179d:23h:59m until your next billing date!" So I chose to update my subscription inverval for 14.95 however my credit card was billed $19.95 for only 30 days of gameplay.
I was wondering if this issue has happened to anyone else resubscribing their accounts. If it has please PM me or confirm on this board.

Edited by: Lady Natacha on 09/04/2008 03:59:51 File a billing petition, it may take a couple of days.
Friendly advice: Start using GTCs. CCP has had reoccurring credit card billing problems that go back forever, GTCs seem to work every darn time.

Misleading payment information has the potential to become a class action lawsuit.

Actually if you read the EULA they're pretty well protected, they don't actually have to give you anything in return for your money.
But no seriously, petition and they will correct it, to probably either $14.95 / 30 days or whatever the correct rate is for 6 months, or maybe if you're really lucky give you a deal that no one else seemingly saw. If you haven't used much of it yet they would probably even give your money back (if this was a mistake they made).
If you talk about class action lawsuits they will juts ban your account, read the EULA, if they think you're going to mess with them in such a way they can just ban you.

Isn't it that starting/resubbing an account adds the administration charge to the first month? eg the first fee will always be the 19.95 something one?
Lesson is: Don't let the sub lapse for a mere month.

Out of curiosity, you haven't mistaken Euros Ç for Dollars $ ?
With the exchange rate it seem the right value. You were billed 14.95 Euros and deducted 19.95 dollars.

You should only be charged the $19.95 for the very first payment you make on an account (going from a trial or whatever). You shouldn't ever be charged that for subsequent payments, if that happened it's a mistake. You can reactivate your account if it's lapsed (from a previously paid account), for just the $14.95/30 days. Occasionally they've sent special offers to activate for only $9.95 for a month. I've never seen any reactivations offered for more than a month without specifically selecting the longer payment options (and until not that long ago you couldn't select longer than a month for reactivations). There's also from time to time the power of 2 offer that includes the 6 months a game time and the initial account creation payment. And there was recently a wingman offer which from memory was another 2 free weeks for you and another account that you signed up, once the player that made the new account made the initial payment.

No it doesn't.
Like the UK and Germany, Iceland doesn't have "class action lawsuits" - they're not possible.
