Like the title says I've got a reaction pos set up in low sec and was wondering how you vets do the logistics.
I'd like to know what the best kind of ships to use when running the materials needed by the pos is and what ships you can recommend to haul it to hubs like Jita.
Is an Occator good enough for this? Can it survive some of the high sec gankers that I hear about? Or should I just bite the bullet and get an Obelisk for high sec hauling.
Also how susceptible is a freighter to high sec ganks compared to transport ships?
Thanks in advance.

Nothing is completely gank safe.
Freighters will take several battleships to kill your freighter.
If you tank an industrial instead of fitting cargo expanders you can likely get past many of the solo gankers.
Look at the recent Eve-tribune article about surving gate camps with a hauler for some tips.
If you are going to use a freighter use varying routes and times to deliver. It takes a while to coordinate enough suicide Battleships to take out a freighter. Being unpredictable and not flying AFK are always some of your best defenses. |

Really depends on the volume you want to haul per run.
Not getting caught in a Blockade Runner is generally good.
Tanking a Deep Space Transport to 90k EHP and raising the bar for suicider gankers to 5-6 Battleships can work too.
Jumpfreighters add better agility than normal freighters, alot more hitpoints and you can directly jump from hisec to your POS to pickup the stuff.
Different routes, different times, different volume hauls, no autopiloting. Transport ships help against the stealthbomber/cruiser/battlecruiser/solo-BS league. Nothing helps against a sufficiently large and motivated BS gang. |

Can you cyno these directly to high-sec ? Or do you need to cyno to lowsec, then gate-jump to high-sec ? |

Use a jump freighter to a low-sec entry point to empire. Transfer freighter to an npc alt, then proceed to the hub. I would not even recommend taking a corp freighter through empire due to the war-dec bug. The folks encouraging you to tank a transport ship or use a freighter are probably pirates giving you bad advice. You will lose your ship and your profits if you take that route.

For this wouldn't I need two jump freighter pilots? As of right now I have none nor the capital to buy one. Normal freighters however is well with in reach.
And what is this war dec bug?

You can use a single JF to get to your low-sec to high-sec transfer point, and a T1 freighter would be fine from there, but not the safest.
The war-dec bug is where they war-dec your corp them immediately retract the war, which lets them begin fighting right away instead of the normal 24 hour wait time. If they spot a juicy freighter they will abuse this to gank you without any warning.

If you properly setup a Blockade Runner for agility / cloak / mwd and use a disposable scout to look for Sensor Boosted HICs, you can get through most things that way. _______________ Pwett CEO, Founder, & Executor <Q> QUANT Hegemony

That has GOT to be an exploit and one CCP logs should definitely show. It meets the very definition of an exploit and if CCP's servers do NOT show when a war was declared and that a gank happened a minute later with no CONCORD then something is seriously amiss.

Blockade runners work well to be sure but they can barely haul in any decent amount. Even if you just run to the nearest hi sec system for transfer to a freighter chances are you will be making an obnoxious number of jumps (which also means you are rolling the dice on getting caught over and over again).
If the OP make daily runs with a blockade runner maybe but still sounds like asking for trouble being that predictable.
If the amount to move is significant then the best bet is to get a good set of guards to clear the way for you. Hopefully you are not too far in to low sec.
If not then watch for gaps in players. Use scouts. Use a frig to insta warp a freighter. When things seem quiet make a run for it and hope.
Jump Freighter makes a lot of this much safer but then they cost around 5 billion and you need a cyno alt.

That's not a bug, and it's not actually possible. What you are seeing is a corp leaving an alliance that has war decced you, when they leave, they get another 24 hours were you can shoot them / they can shoot you so that the war doesn't end without warning. This shows up as an immediate declaration/retraction. You still have to have been at war with them previously for this to happen.
If you declare someone and immediately retract you cannot shoot for 24 hours still, and the war will only last for the few seconds or instant between 24 hours after you declared it and 24 hours after you retracted it.
