Hi everyone,
Eve has been crashing ever since I have put 2 NVIDIA 8800 GT video cards in my comp. I either get a blue screen message that crashes my comp or the game crashes and I get a video driver has failed but recovered message. I have tried every different video driver for the two cards but nothing works and eve is the only game that is having this problem. Dose anyone have any ideas on a fix for this?

Have you tried to increase the ram voltage by any chance? Maybe increase it to 2.00 volts? I know that may sound crazy but it you are running a 680i or 780i that might fix the problem.
Hope this helps,
Mikal
P.S. What type of Power supply do you have? That also might be causing the crashing too. The minimum requirements for 2 8800GT's are at least a minimum of a 600 watt power supply if running in SLI mode. Never skimp on the power supply, it will bite you in the behind. |

I have an integrated Intel GMA 950, and I get a similar problem.

well it is the typical tdr (timeout detection by windows) bug many people have. it occurs when you have mixxed drivers from an older version with your current or because just vista has some issues
well for the vista users: you are all screwed. they changed how vista addresses space which make cards freeze sometimes. also DX10 is crappy and sensitive to all kinds of stuff. there is no possible fix to it but you can: 1. download all windows updates and SP1 2. deinstall your gpu drivers 3. use DriveCleaner (google it) to clear all drivers and registry entries from your machine 4. install latest drivers 5. prey it will work cause even it is officially fixxed thousands of people whine in forums that it isnt, for some it works for some not
for xp users: 1. deinstall your gpu drivers 2. use DriveCleaner (google it) to clear all drivers and registry entries from your machine 3. install latest drivers 4. prey it works because otherwise you have a hardware problem

DriveCleaner? I dont think so! google warned me not to go there as it could harm my computer and other links pretty much says it sucks!

Drivercleaner is used by many, it's perfectly safe as long as you download if from a reliable source. I would recommend guru3d.com. ------------------------ |
