I don't even have words for this; I cannot understand this kind of hatred. I have to say that, unfortunately , this is what happens when people try so hard to take God out of our school systems and out of our nation. It looks like this really IS becoming a Godless society; Jesus, please take us home soon!
Sometimes I wonder if Youtube commenters are serious, or if they all get together every few months to discuss how to troll visitors more.

I agree the mother of the victim should sue all the parents of the involved children.
The mother of the girl who set the trap has stated it's the victims fault. She apparently has no remorse and doesn't hold her daughter accountable for making a decision to attack another person with a group of her friends. Also these "children" were making the video for the express purpose of posting it online, the question is WHERE were their parents? And WHY didn't they know what their children were doing?
now an advocate wants the web sites made responsible. Once again the responsibility is shifted from the real responsible parties "parents". Websites are not babysitters nor should they ever be expected to do so. Bottom line is the lack of parenting.
It should be enforced that if a minor (17 and younger) breaks the law the parent have to pay the bill for their child instead of the taxpayers..... x days in jail= $$ x amount for legal fees = $$ restitution = $$ so in the end the parent does become responsible, maybe then parents will start teaching their children the difference between right and wrong. If the parent can't/won't pay, put them and the offender on a road crew to work it off.
Plus allow parents to punish their children without the government/special interest groups interfering with parental rights. *that is unless they want to start splitting the bills"
we need for parents to actually find out what their children are really doing and stop pointing the finger at everyone else.

Pretty ****ty. It's not just current pop culture, this kind of thing was prevalent even when I was in high school (a mere 6 years ago). The only difference today is that we have stuff like myspace, youtube, etc etc. to bring occurences such as this into a more public light. If I was the prosecuting attorney on this case, I'd push for premeditated attempted murder along with the other charges given the number of people involved and the planning. The news article does state that the girls forced the other girl into a car and drove her to another location. That's my 2 cents on it, but what do I know right?

That comment was dumber than the video. Its like A + B = potato. How the hell do you look at that and say "lack of religion is the problem?" Sometimes I hate this country. ------ Any factual errors or mistakes in spelling and grammar should be attributed solely to me and not my nation of origin. |

in the US parents are responsible for their children until the age of 18. I do agree that there can be contributing factors, but this is a problem that is not bound by finances, education, race, religion, or lifestyle. The children are out of control, until the parent is allowed to punish, are willing to take responsibility for teaching their children right and wrong, and until they get involved with their children to know what they are doing things aren't going to get better.

Locked
The video linked to has personal info on it.
As an aside, there's been happy slapper videos for some considerable time and deaths from them. Usually when asked about such attacks, the attackers cite boredom and desire to become (in)famous. Mitnal, Community Representative
