They only thing that bothers me about them is that there is no small and medium version of them. 3/4 pure lunatic, 1/4 absolute genius

About the same DPS as Dual Light Pulse, and before they got their fittings reduced I think they took something like 16-18 PG each to fit (13-14 now), which was consistent with Tachyons ungodly fitting requirements. Heavy Beams are certainly not a cruiser equivalent though.

I declare war on stupidity

I think even the devs said the Tachs were a 'oversized' turret, which explains both the DPS and the fitting/cap issues with them.
