After cancling my accounts before the billing cycle of this month. They didnt cancle. I had cancled them in accordance to the web page on cancling accounts. I even filled out the reasons for leaving the game.
After contacting customer service, I got very piffed about with the reply that came back and sent a few verbal comments. Now, customer service wont even reply to my emails and my accounts are still active.
I'm trying to stay calm about this but I need this took care of.

Call your Credit Card company and inform them that you have advised CCP but that they are illegally billing your CC....... thats always a fun one.

You shouldn't wait with this..
You have every right to cancel your account during the mont its still active and CCP has no right to bill you for another month..
Call you company, cut them off and look into getting back whatever extra they billed you.
Yuo should accept this in any way, especially if CS decides to merrily delete your emails.

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

Send your account name to me at: [email protected] and the approximate date that you canceled your account. I'll get with the billing department and work on a resolution.
Sorry to hear that you are leaving the game.

I couldn't help but notice you used the plural when refering to your accounts. I have a few spares myself and learned the hard way that if you cancel one account and back up to the screen to log in for canceling again it'll look like your canceling another account but it doesn't. Mabey you tabbed back to relog in and figured you'd canceled other accounts as well? I know thats mabey not a huge help but at least it might be useful to keep in mind.

You should contact your bank and tell them to deny payment. That should make CCP suspend your account unless they feel like letting you play for free.

Don't get me wrong, but have they billed your CC after cancellation?
No matter when you cancel, you'll still be able to access the game until the end of your current billing cycle. So i would not be upset about that.
If they billed you after cancellation, that's another story. --------------------------------------------- *Comments in this post are mine and mine only and are not the views held by Mercenary Forces Corp* |

technically you can also get the credit card to reemburce any unauthorized charge; just as if someone stole your credit card and made illegal purchases. That would really get CCP's attention, moi thinks. I say this because that is essentially what you are saying CCP did. You informed them that you were cancelling your account but they proceeded to bill you for another billing cycle anyway.
Though if you cancelled the account less than 5 business days from the end of your current billing cycle; that may be a problem. You would have to check the TOS but I am sure there is some verbage about how much time they require to process account cancellation.
