hey, actually i'm having the same problem - except it's okay most of the time - it's like a chance to grey when an effect goes off...
combat = death
but i can fly to and from jita all day long (well for a few hours before i grey out as a stargate launches
bought my 9800 gx2 a week ago, all games work fine except eve.

can your run this gfx card without sli mode ?? if you can disable sli mode try it out i have 2 8800 gt in my machine and run better if sli is not active quad 6600 @3,2 4gb ram 2x 8800 gt 2x 22" widescreen have sometimes up to 4 accounts in premium running
that dont means that small fleet battles (80+) are lagfree i read somewhere if my client have to load hundreds of ships you can have individual lag maybe in one from the next 5 computergenerations we will have a computer who dont have this problems then

The 9800 GX2, despite being two 8800 gt 512's strapped together, is in fact set up in such a way that the system sees it as a single GPU, and all load allocation is done internally. In games like COD4, i get worse frames by enabling the SLI toggle in these games than leaving it as a single. there is an option in the Nvidia Controll panel to enable each monitor out to be powered by only one card, and i'll try that later tonight, but i doubt it'll work, given the system sees it as a single GPU.
system specs: Core 2 Duo e6750 (2.66x2) 6gb G-Skill DDR2-1066 3x320g seagate Asus P5K-e mainboard (P35 chipset) Asus 9800 GX2 1gb Vista Enterprise 64bit (legal) 22" chimei @1650x1080
and all i want to do is run ONE instance of eve, and have a navy raven kill a mob without flickering epilepticly and falling into a screen of grey.
observations since trinity 1.1, i have read of complaints about flickering triangles on the UI, cargo cans that turn into green blobs, login screens that just show up black...
i'm beginning to think something is not quite 100% within the eve graphic engine at the moment...

update - the "missile effects" button is the magical button...
with missile effects enabled, it all goes pear-shaped. effects disabled, and it's all good. any thoughts?
