"New Frontiers" level 3 are a series of missions concerning scientists being absorbed by Rogue Drones, taking over battleships while in station, then proceeding to blow a hole in the station and escape.
It seems the co-mingling of sentient drone AI and insane genius scientist produced an abomination that needed immediate annihilation.
We can only hope the combination of the two had not been replicated prior to their/its destruction, and escaped to become a human problem of nightmare proportions.
I expect one could spend many lives confronting this Empire-wide dilemma.

It's hexadecimal. I'm guessing the long string of numbers is octal, since there's no numbers above eight. Can't be arsed to decode it, though.

If this is, infact, another coded transmission then I will add it to my research. The hidden message is obvious, but I wonder if this one is as credible as the last? It's from a different source then the previous transmission.

I refuse to even attempt to read this until it's fixed.
Shame because the first page was mildly interesting.
Suffice to say, sentient machines are not a problem (I nurture all my ship-minds towards self-awareness) in and of themselves.
I'm sure that were post-humanity to die out tomorrow, they'd do no worse a job of screwing up the universe than we have.
My problem is, the pod-pilots that choose to align themselves with them... a lot of them seem... a bit... well... y'know... sad...

While terribly irresponsible, at least you're doing it with a safety net.
Any Minmatar ship that attains self-awareness would take one look at itself and commit immediate suicide.

Actually, Istvaan, I'm pretty sure if it could get past the missing data cables, it'd be pretty pleased with itself - Minmatar ships might not look pretty, but they're resilient, powerful and get the job done.
And if we're saying that a self-aware ship would kill itself on the basis of looks alone, I'm pretty sure we'd have to put the Armageddon, the Moa or the Dominix on a much higher priority suicide watch than any Minmatar vessel...
