Over the next day or two it will drop a tad. Over the next few weeks we'll see it hit prices higher than it's at now.

Prices are going to triple in the next 3 weeks. Buy now or you'll be sorry.

This is what I've seen to be somewhat regular behaviour out of it.
Every week (generally) it spikes by 6000 or so isk, then crashes 3000 or so within a day, then will gradually drop till the next spike. However "steep" that gradual drop obviously determines whether or not it is an overall gain or loss.
It's quite a tricky game, you can try and pick it up cheapest before the spike and risk buying it "at" the spike (makes baby Kylar cry tears of warui sadness), or pick it up during the gradual decline.

I'm guessing flat or down a bit. Really just look at how the sell orders have been moving...lots of recent modification = lots of undercutting = probably prices driving down.
if you want to try to make the price go down buy some ferrogel and undercut by 100, hoping other vendors will follow suit.

Hmmm kinda scare mongering, must have a load of ferrogel stocked waiting for the panic buying to push prices up to make a little more profit.
Personally I think the price will rise by nothing considerable, to speculate on the market for isk gain means you have to risk alot of capital to make it worth while.

do not, i repeat, do not compare ferrogel to sylramic fibres. i wouldn't be surprised, if all dysprosium and promethium have been taken months ago when trinity caused all these dysprosium threads. iow, supply is probably at its maximum. demand is ever-increasing. there may be lots of speculation going on, very much like the oil markets IRL - but the base trend is just upward.
SylFibs only require (very) low things. we run 8 complex reactions right now and could easily triple that due to vacant chromium and platinum places. supply may be limited but eve is far from reaching that limit.
it's still profitable, but we're monitoring the prices very closely these days. not much longer and we'll punch out - probably just toning down our work and simply move the chromium to empire; that 0.6m¦ stuff is just a lot less to move. and the people there seem to be happy with minimalistic profits ^^ - putting the gist back into logistics |

wouldn't help much, if i got this right; they can only drill more stuff that has two or more abundances. though technically possible, i doubt there really is a "double" dysp or prom moon.
but then again, they might just get re-coded before their final implementation. - putting the gist back into logistics |
