Im using this ares to scout with atm I catch alot of ratters in 0.0 anyone else using these on my ares atm "Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer"?
The rest of my setup are Inertial stabs and nano's etc so I insta warp.

All in all, the warp speed increase seems relatively worthless compared to making your actual velocity higher. Perhaps if we have to warp from system to system it would be a much much different case.

I experimented with this a few times with a stiletto scouting for 0.0 roaming gangs.
In a nutshell, I found it did f** all, simply because the majority of the time spent in warp is the 'slowing down' and 'speeding up' periods, the actual time spent travelling at 'max warp speed' for all interceptors is brief compared to the acceleration/deceleration periods.
Go get some polycarbs, or Aux Thrusters/Shield Resistance rigs if you're poor. ---

Alot of the jumps in 0.0 near where Im based have belts more than 50 au away in this case its worth it in anything less than 30 au its not imo |

There should be a pair really, one that improves your warp speed (for the freighters) and one that decreases acceleration/deceleration period.

Warp speed increases only matter in very large systems, in most cases it's just not worth it. |

Yeah unless you're building a scout specifically for a very large system (75+ AU between objects), the warp speed rigs on an Interceptor just aren't worth it. If they had warp acceleration rigs (not reducing align time, but letting you spend more time at max speed in warp), they would be wonderful. |

The slower the warp speed of the ship you fit them to, the greater the amount of time you save. Interceptors see the smallest decrease in warp times of any ship type. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

Yar. They would be great for freighters if they could fit modules. They would also be nice for capital ships if the rig slots weren't much better off being used for something else. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |
